We were at WDW last week and had some great meals. Didn't get pics at all of them though. Ooops.

Biergarten for lunch was awesome. This has taken the place of Akershus for me. We met a nice, fun family at our table. Hi guys! :)
Everything was flavorful. There was one (out of many) sausage that tasted like a breakfast sausage so I left that on the plate to have more of the other kinds.

Ham and Salami grinder was really good at Season's. Partner had roasted chicken and like it a lot.
IMG_7975.jpg

First time at the Yak and Yeti counter service. We both like it. Partner had the honey chick and said it was fine though not great. I had the Asian chicken sandwich. It was sliced chicken with mayo and perhaps some green onion and sesame oil. The sliced chicken was super moist and a bit mushy which made the sandwich seem like a chicken salad sandwich. The main thing was that I really liked it. The Asian flavor could have been a bit stronger but I am sure it is to potent for many.

Lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern is one of my favorites and it did not disappoint. I usually get the ooey gooey toffee cake for dessert but I wanted something a bit less gooey and sweet so I ordered the Apple Tart with shortbread crust. I am not at all a fan of shortbread but this was a wonderful dessert.

At Rose and Crown we both had Fish and Chips. Good as usual. Last year the waitress brought us a taste of mushy peas. I HATE peas. I gag on them. Eeeww. But i tasted them and the were not bad. This year we ordered a side of them but they were a but different. There seemed to be mint in them. I could still eat them but I am not a fan of mint in my savory foods.

We went to the Pepper Market for dinner at 5:15 one evening. ˆt was very quiet and easy to maneuver around. Partner got the roasted chicken and said it was really good. I got the cheeseburger and FRIES!!!! The guy piled the fries on the plate. The food was all pre cooked. For the chicken that was fine. The fries were a bit cold but had a great flavor. The cheeseburger was only warm but the flavor was good. I asked for lots of extra onions and got what I wanted. :)

It will be a couple years before we get back to Florida. I hope to try some new places by then.

DD and I ate lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table on 5/26 for her 4th Bday.
I forgot to take a picture of my DD's meal....
The appetizer & salmon was good...but the dessert was the best:goodvibes!
DD ate chicken noodle soup, chicken nuggets, green beans & carrots.

Sorry I had started to eat it before remembering to take a picture. I loved it and can't wait to have it again.

Brown Derby - Hollywood Studios

Bread and butter

Our Famous Cobb Salad for Two - with finely chopped greens, turkey breast, egg, bacon, tomatoes, crumbled blue cheese, avocado, chives and Cobb dressing $15
florida2010488.jpg

Excellent! If I were not on the dining plan, I would go here for this salad. Great deal for an OOP option!

Sterling Silver Pork Chop - topped with smoked gouda and apricot preserve served over Napa cabbage, bacon and potato hash with apple cider jus $33
florida2010490.jpg

With the exception of the pork being more well done than I prefer, this was very good! The hash under was SO good and the cheese was all gooey and browned on top.

Grapefruit Cake - A Brown Derby Original! Light Layers of Yellow Cake with fresh Grapefruit Cream Cheese Icing $7
florida2010491.jpg

Honestly, I thought it would be a bit sweeter but it had more of the bitterness of grapefruit which took me by surprise. I’m glad I tried it but given the chance, I will go with something else next time.

I TOTALLY Agree - and I REALLY wanted to LOVE this dessert because I LOVE Grapefruit and Grapefruit Juice...
100_3404.jpg

BUT - I really did not like it... It's all good though... the "Dessert" came along with our Fantasmic package... which we truly enjoyed....

Hugs,
Mary

i stayed at the swan last year for my bday, and i did go to kimonos one night for some sushi. sorry the pics are so dark. i normally use a flash on my food pics, but kimonos just didn't seem as conducive to it as disney restaurants.

pretty sure this was a shrimp tempura roll
pic401.jpg

and here's some tempura
pic400.jpg

and may as well throw in a drink while we're at it. this was a strawberry lemonade alcoholic beverage. there were muddled real strawberries and it was amazingly good
pic397.jpg

Side order of french fries.
Disney026.jpg

Stacked Sandwich - Smoked Ham, dill havarti and honey mustard on ciabatta bread. Wish I had known it came with iceberg lettuce. The kiosk said arugula. Obviously that was wrong. It would have been better without the lettuce. We split this on our first day but DH didn't care for it at all. The chips were very good though. On the right you can see the carrot cake. It was okay too.
Disney027.jpg

Bread with olive oil and spices. The bread was warm and with the dip it was very tasty. It had some sort of garlic butter on top that was also very good.
Disney084.jpg

Chicken parmesan. The chicken itself was seasoned very well and a good size. The noodles were overcooked though and the sauce wasn't to my liking. It was very chunky and the flavor was just okay.
Disney086.jpg

Tiramisu. I normally love this dessert but this one wasn't your average tiramisu. We had it from here back in March 2008 and it has definitely changed. The custard had a good flavor but there were literally no ladyfingers in neither mine nor DH serving. It may have been just our servings, I'm not sure.
Disney087.jpg

Overall, this will probably be our last time here. The service was fine and the price is okay if you're not on the DDP. But it was our least favorite of the whole trip.
