Here are our meals from La Hacienda this past October....best dinner from our whole stay!

DH had the "Arrachera" (flank steak)
CIMG1186.jpg

I had the "Pescado a la Talla" (Tilapia)
CIMG1185.jpg

Both were served with warm, fresh tortillas, beans and rice. Absolutely delicious!!!:thumbsup2

Masitas de Puerco - fried pork cubes marinated with garlic sauce served with grilled onions $7.95
DSC_0283.JPG

That was the good part. Went drastically downhill from here...

Lomo de Puerco - pork loin seasoned with lime, garlic and oregano, topped with onions served with moro rice and yuca con mojo $17.95
DSC_0291.JPG

Bistec de Palomilla - shredded steak seasoned with garlic, salt, and mojo topped with onions and parsley served with moro rice and green plantains $16.95 (this description isn't exactly right... I was so disgusted by this meal, I cannot even begin to tell you what was wrong with it. Let's start with THAT WAS GARLIC... 95% GARLIC on top. and I love garlic. WOW, never again.

My DH said, "just scrape it off so you can eat... I tried... It was layered... Like a lasagna from garlic Hell. :lmao:

I guess I'll add some more food pictures! :)

Casey's Corner:

The Hot Dog Meal- This was the first time I went there when they had the new "specialty dog" option, and the hot dog rolls, even for regular hot dogs, were really big. A little too much bread. Also, the fries were burned that day. Wahh.

dsc0280xj.jpg

This isn't a typical food picture... but I found it amusing. I found this candy bar in a gift shop at the Poly. True Statement? I think yes.

dsc0345q.jpg

Ohana:

The best bread EVER. We actually took an extra loaf home with us because we loved it so much. It had a sweet taste too it, and it was to die for. YUM.

dsc0347mq.jpg

The Salad was super good too! The Dressing was delicious. Once again, it had a sweet kick to it.

dsc0348w.jpg

The dipping sauces for the meats.. which I don't think I got to try. I was too in awe of all of my options.

dsc0349r.jpg

Pot Stickers and Chicken Wings... YUMM! So good. And I'm from a town that's known for incomparable chicken wings.. and Ohana's were good. So Disney wins again.

dsc0350x.jpg

Broccoli and LO MEIN NOODLES! I love lo mein noodles SO much. They tasted a little sweeter than I was used to.. but I still enjoyed them.

dsc0351b.jpg

The Meats! My favorite was the steak, then chicken, then pork. However they were all SOOO good. But that steak was probably some of the BEST I have ever had. And chicken is usually bland for me.. but this one was GOOD.

dsc0352bg.jpg

Shrimp (and lo mein noodles again). Yummy! I love shrimp.

dsc0353y.jpg

Bread pudding with Banana Foster Sauce.... Yeah this lives up to the recommendation. My brother doesn't usually get dessert and he has very limited interests... however he loved this. It was AMAZING.

dsc0355p.jpg

Toy Story Pizza Planet:

Pepperoni Pizza, Caesar Salad, and Mickey Rice Krispie. Yummy Disney Pizza <3 I wish they had Mickey Rice Krispies for a dessert option in more places! They're so good!

dsc0400d.jpg

Nine Dragons:

Cucumber Salad.. My Dad got this and he liked it!

dsc0423gm.jpg

An Egg Roll (I believe it was pork? I can't remember though) and a Pot Sticker.

dsc0425m.jpg

This... is some type of Chicken. Maybe orange... or sweet and sour... or something. I can't remember. It was my brother's.

dsc0430v.jpg

My Dad's Entree... some sort of fish. Maybe Haddock? Do they have that there?

dsc0431b.jpg

Steak and Shrimp Dish... that was mine (: Some of the best Shrimp EVER! The steak was good.. but the sauce wasn't my favorite. The steak was the only thing I didn't really finish.

dsc0432x.jpg

STRAWBERRY RED BEAN ICE CREAM!! One of my favorite desserts on all of Disney property. It may look good... but it tastes like a million and a half times better than it looks. I have an obsession with it.

dsc0434n.jpg

Kringla Og Kafe:

Schoolbread! Mmmm I LOVE the cream filling.

dsc0435do.jpg

Olivia's Cafe:

Strawberries and Cream... that is my ideal meal. I am obsessed with whipped cream.

dsc0466.jpg

Banana Bread French Toast with a Side of Ham. Very very delicious breakfast.

dsc0468e.jpg

Grits. My mom likes these.

dsc0469hx.jpg

and lastly...

Seasons:

A Rice Krispie. That I took home with me and ate over the next few days just to savor the Disney food. It was SO good.

Flying Fish Tasting Menu

I have no notes and a horrible (food) memory so this thread seemed like a better fit than an actual review. This is from Oct 2010, and I think they were still testing things out. They might have now changed it to a 5-course meal, but the website still says 6. Also I apologize for the state of some of the dishes - I had a hard time remembering to take pics first...
