I never get around to finishing a dining report, so I've decided to just post the pics of the food! Here are some pics from our September 2012 trip. (Oh, & I apologize in advance for the state of my fingernails! LOL! I was in the middle of some anxiety/panic attacks the week before our trip & kinda ruined my nails... they don't always look bad!)

And, sorry! For some reason, I don't have a good pic of the entrée platter from Garden Grill!

Continuing with Flower & Garden (and Food) with Figment.
Le Cellier (Epcot, Dinner)
Figment started the trip with dinner at Le Cellier. This is one of Figment's favorite places to eat. Since his last trip (in October), Le Cellier switched to a single all-day menu and now the menus are lighted!

The meal started out with Figment's favorite pretzel bread sticks. They're still really good.

Figment tried two appetizers: the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup (top) and the "Le Cellier" Lobster Chopped Salad (bottom). He's had both before and they were as good as he remembered. The soup is very rich and makes a very good "dipping" sauce for the pretzel bread sticks. The lobster salad has lots of chucks of lobster.

For his entrees, Figment tried the "Le Cellier" Mushroom Filet Mignon (top) and the Pepper-Crusted Sirloin (bottom). The Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and the mushroom risotto with truffle-butter sauce is so rich and yummy. Figment almost always orders the Filet and has always enjoyed it. The sirloin had really good flavor and a neat presentation.

Normally Figment would have had a dessert, but he was pretty full from dinner and was hoping to get back to AKL for some Zebra Domes! They're available in packs of four at the Mara.

Yak & Yeti (Animal Kingdom, Lunch)
Yak & Yeti has become Figment's favorite place to have lunch at Animal Kingdom. The food is very good and it's a nice place to cool down and relax after a busy morning at AK. He tried three different entrees: MalAsian Seafood Curry (top), Bourbon Chicken (middle), and the Duck with Anadapur Glaze (bottom). The Curry had a slight bite, but a good flavor overall. The Bourbon chicken was pretty good, but kind of sweet. The duck is consistenly one of Figment's favorites at Yak & Yeti. It has a nice crispy skin and moist meat.

Narcoossee's (Grand Floridian Resort, Dinner)
Dinner was at Figment's favorite resturant at Walt Disney World: Narcoossee's! He always makes a point to eat there at least once (hopefully twice) per trip. A meal at Narcoossee's starts with a loaf of sour dough bread and butter.

For the other appetizers, Figment had the calamari. It was nice and tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The relish on top had a slight bite, but the flavor of the olives and peppers blended nicely with the calamari.

For one of his entrees, Figment decided to try two different appetizers: the Apple Salad (top) and the Crab Cakes (bottom). Both were very good. The crab cakes had lots of crab (big pieces). The apple salad had nice slices of crisp apples on top of a bed of greens.

For his other entrees, Figment tried the Whole Steamed Main Lobster (top) and the Lobster Tail and Filet Mignon (bottom). The lobster was cooked perfectly and very yummy. The lobster tail and filet mignon were very good. The tail was smaller than the one with the whole lobster, but still very tasty. The filet was cooked perfectly (medium).

Figment and his family were celebrating a wedding anniversary during this trip and Narcoossee's helped us celebrate. They brought glasses of champagne with a strawberry on it (Yum!)

DSC_0393_1_zps205b6851.jpg

For dessert, Figment sampled three of his favorites: Almond-Crusted Cheesecake (top), chocolate Torte (middle), and mango sorbet (bottom). The cheesecake is very good; it's very rich and smooth. The chocolate torte was very rich and very good! The sorbet is very light and the fresh fruit complemented the sorbet nicely.

Next time...Cooke's of Dublin, Artist Point, and more!

Here are our pics from our outstanding meal at Be Our Guest!

The Ratatouille (sp) entree. Tasty!

DD's steak and frites. The standout here was the tarragon mayo for dipping the fries, IMHO. You know you are at Disney when you are eating fries dipped in mayo without a care in the world!

This was my pork chop with macaroni au gratin. Sooo delicious:

Yet another pic of the grey stuff!

One of the cupcake desserts:

Our meal here was outstanding, I was there for the ambience and was pleasantly surprised that the food was so wonderful!

Oh, Coral Reef! I often see mixed reviews here, but we love, love it! One of the best meals we had this trip, no doubt. Well, I did do some drinking around the world and was in a great mood before dining here, but I found the atmosphere, service, and food to be a standout.

Caesar Salad, classic...

Lobster Bisque, creamy delightfulness!

Strip Steak. Mouthwatering!

Short Rib Entree. Incredibly flavorful!

Creme Brulee. Great!

The Chocolate Wave. What is not to like?!

We only got one pic in the caramel shop. It was very crowded and the girls kept singing "I've got a brand new pair of roller skates, you've got a brand new key" over and over in line. So I kicked them out and they took the camera with them. :rolleyes1

The chewy caramel bar here is really tasty. But I must suggest that you save it for later if you are drinking margaritas and chinese beer.

I am pretty sure 2 of the lbs I gained on this trip were at Epcot alone. Between the margaritas, chinese beer, and chewy caramel bar, I also managed a couple bites of this savory bread pudding with mushrooms from Germany. It was an offering at the Flower and Garden Festival food stand. Very salty, but I like that. :thumbsup2

Okay, now I'm just embarrassed! Totally forgot we ALSO pigged out at La Cantina in Mexico! Sheesh!

Guacamole.

Nachos.

Beef Tacos.

Churritos with caramel sauce.

Let's just go ahead and change that 2 lbs at Epcot to 3.

Always a favorite. Boy, can 50s Prime Time Cafe cook up some of the down-home classics!!

This one's for you, Uncle Bee. Makes my mouth water just looking at the pic!

Meatloaf.

Here's whatever the sampler platter is called...

We also had PB&J milkshakes, which were delicious but a boring picture. As for dessert, we took plain brownies to go because we just couldn't eat another bite. They were great waiting for Fantasmic! later!!

This was our first time at Pizza Planet. Another place that gets lots of mixed reviews that we absolutely loved!

Caesar salad. DD really liked this, one of her favorite things she ate this trip. Weird! ;) I mean, it was pretty good, but (?)

I found the pizza to be quite yum!

These cappuccino cupcakes were truly to-die-for!

A couple random MK snacks. This was actually the first time we tried a turkey leg (this one was from Frontierland). We ended up getting another one at AK that wasn't quite as good. It is truly a barbaric thing to be eating in public, but very tasty and really surprisingly juicy!

Funnel cake from Sleepy Hollow. Tastes like a funnel cake from anywhere else in the world, but somehow it's become a special tradition for DD to get one here. I LOVE Disney food traditions!

Speaking of Disney food traditions, we have been going to TRex every arrival day since it opened. We love the meteor showers when the dinos go nuts. I do so love a good theme!

Self explanatory. Pretty good, but the ribs are nothing compared to those at Yak and Yeti, which are my fave at WDW!

Big ol' guacamole burger. A very nice burger!

Key lime pie. Well done!

Donut dessert. Wowza!

I enjoyed a lovely cosmo cotton-tini, but alas, no picture. I've tried the other cotton-tinis here, but the cosmo was my favorite!

We had lots more awesome food on this trip, but these are all the pics I managed. What a WONDERFUL time we had, and absolutely can't WAIT to go back!!!
