How is the evening, this trip we're eating really late like quarter to ten. Will it be busy then or will it start clearing out? also it'll be late Dec.

We once had a 900pm adr at Chef Mickeys and we literally closed the place down. We were even given a double set of photographs for free. Its nice sitting in the Contemporary with Chef Mickey's right in front of you without anyone else there.

Fantastic pix! How did your party enjoy the butcher steak, ribs and pasta? I rarely see reviews about any of those entrees. :goodvibes

I really don't know about the pasta... that was ordered by a teenage boy and he really didn't say a word about it (which was odd since he was constantly complaining about something the whole trip)

Almost half of our party had the ribs and the only complaint I heard was from my Mom who didn't like the coleslaw... but no one else complained about it...

I was the one that had the butcher steak.... now it wasn't fantastic, but I did eat the whole thing (not the potatos or beans though)

Fantastic. Thanks for letting me know. :thumbsup2 I hope you had a wonderful time.

lunch at everything pop.....

philly cheesesteak wrap with fries, sliced apples and a V8 juice. you'd think being the food porn vet that i am, i would've remembered to UNwrap the thing!!!! but it was our first day and we were in a hurry to get to DHS, so i wasn't thinking.

cheeseburger with fries, grapes and cranberry juice....

by the way, the apples and the grapes were subbed for desserts so that we could store them in our fridge and eat them later on in the week. :thumbsup2

GoofySon'sMom - THANK YOU for the pictures from The Wave! Everything looks delicious! Did you happen to go there for breakfast? We will be staying at the CR and will be having breakfast there one day...I kinda wish that we were eating a lunch there too...that bread looks (and sounds) devine!!

Can you do that anywhere??? Or do not all CS places have fruit? That's an awsome idea, especially since we are not huge dessert people but our family eats TONS of fruits! Thanks for that TIP!

i'm not sure you can do it everywhere or not - probably just depends on what they have to offer. a lot of places carry fruit though.

at pop they had coolers full of different dessert options and those grapes were just calling my name! i don't like to eat too many sweets in the summer -- all that sugar just seems too heavy for the hot weather to me! i know i'm in the minority though. ;)

I was able to secure a lunch res at LeCellier. I was there for dinner a few years ago. My question is... The mushroom filet, do you get anything else with it, like potatoes or veggies? It doesnt say on the menu. Also, are the lunch portions (the size of the steak) a lot smaller than the dinner portions?

any pictures? Thanks.

EDIT: IM SOO STUPID!! I didnt know what risotto was! LOLOLOL All I know is they wouldnt serve potatoes with risotto.

I just googled it.. *dumb*

Here is a pic for ya!

We stayed at the Polynesian, and I chose cut fruit (melon & grapes) or a parfait as my dessert each time. I'm a big fruit lover too, especially when I don't have to clean/cut it!

Has anyone been to Leciellier recently???

The chocolate cake they serve. Does it still come with a cup, or anglaise. Or, is it only drizzled on the plate. I love the anglaise, and the recent pics I've seen of the chocolate cake. Looks as though the plates are only decorated with the anglaise. So, does anyone know? TIA

This is so off topic. But, your daughter is ADORABLE!!

We did not have breakfast there although I kinda wish we did. That will be a must do for our next trip! Would love to hear what you thought of it when you return.

We ended up getting the cake to go and it was just a drizzle. Not sure if it would have been different if we had eaten it there??

OH...

MY...

GOSH!!!

I can't believe how good all of that looks!

<note to self: must remember to take pictures for Food Porn Part IV>

Thanks to all who posted for the tantalizing pics. Though our 'ticker' is counting down, D-Day (Disney Day :) ) can't get here soon enough!

And now the pork stir-fry that I'm going to make for dinner seems really lame by comparison...

Thanks again,

Dave aka HoosierDave

Cappaccino Cheesecake from Kringla Bakery - I was told it was to die for by one of the girl's working in the bakery - I thought it was awful it had a funny taste to it and believe me I'm a big fan of cheesecake and desserts in general one has to really be bad for me to not finish it!

Everything looks so YUMMY!!!! My son and I are visiting in 39 days, and have lots of ADR's set up... I'm interested to know if anyone has pics. of the Spirit of Aloha luau?

and a couple more questions... Is the school bread filled?

Has anyone gotten a fruit and cheese plate (not really a plate, but it has brie, cheddar, and munster, along with some grapes and apple slices)??? it's not like the one at the pastry shop in France, this was delish! I found it when I went last dec. and I only found it at Harambe Market and one of the bakeries at MK on main st... I'm just wondering if it's still being sold?

Also... I am allergic to RED DYE... why does it seem that every good strawberry or raspberry dessert is overly RED!? Guess I'll be having ***gasp*** lots of CHOCOLATE for dessert! LOL!
