It was so good. It has jumbo lump crab, rare filet of beef and a killer sauce on the side for dipping. There's like 12 pieces in an order for $20. I had the Deluxe plan and it was included as my appetizer. But I would be gladly to pay $20 OOP for it.

I'm glad to see the changes to the creme brulee dessert, when it was two cakes it was too heavy, but that looks like a nice little mousse comes with it now.

How was the cheesecake? I was looking at the menu and it sounds very interesting.

I like the new Banana Creme Brulee too. The Black Walnut Cheesecake wasn't my favorite. I just didn't like Chevre cheese all that much; however, the walnut crusted bottom was really good. The dessert was very well balanced. Not overly sweet for a rich dessert.

I love Chevre, so I'd be so tempted to get this if it's still on the menu the next time I eat there.

How did you like the veal t-bone at Le Cellier? Also, please tell us about your dinner at Jiko. Those pics look delicious and include things I am thinking of ordering. I've had the Filet before, but wonder about whether to order the lamb loin or shrimp. Also, how was the ostrich vs. the spiced briouats. Thanks.

Does anyone have pics of the steak on the kids menu at cali grille? My 9 yr old niece is all about steak now. and I keep telling her about the california grill has it on the kids menu.

and thx to everyone for the great pictures!!!

DS: "The Veal T-Bone was amazing. It was seasoned perfectly. The texture of the veal was as tender as a filet for a cut of "white meat"

The lamb loin was excellent. As you can see, the portion was extremely huge. The dish came with a couscous which was cooked with some raisins(I think!) The Swahili Shrimp was delish! The curry flavor was mild(I preferred it spicier) But the combination of veggies(especially the artichoke heart) and shrimp were right on.
I would order the "Ostrich" loin if it remains on the menu the next time. This is not to say that the spiced briouats weren't any good.

I just got back, and I remembered to take a few food pics. I'll get around to posting them soon. I didn't eat in the parks that much since I was there for a convention and they fed us breakfast & lunch most days. I took pics of those meals if anybody is interested in what you get fed at conventions at CSR.

Lunch at Biergarten

I was so excited to eat there, I forgot to take a picture of my first plate with mostly cold items. It was excellent, though. I was surprised that I liked the sausage salad!

The plate pictured had pork schnitzel with mushroom sauce, cheese spatzle, roasted potatoes, pork roast with red wine sauce, meatballs and pork gratin. It was all great. The dessert plate had Bavarian cheese cake, apple strudel, berry compote with vanilla sauce and a strawberry-rhubarb dessert. I think that the vanilla sauce was supposed to go on the apple strudel, but it was good on the berries!

Dole Whip

I know these are posted all the time, but I just had to add my one Dole whip from this trip. Normally I have several, but I just didn't make it over to Aloha Isle again this time. :sad1:

I've been to Disney 7 times and have still never had a Dole whip! I am bound and determined to get one this trip! They look fabulous!!!

In case anybody wonders what kind of food you get fed at Disney convention, here are some pictures that I took of our breakfast and lunch food at Jostens Adviser University. The food was set up in a buffet line, and it was all very good!

Breakfast the first morning. We had Mickey waffles, banana stuffed French toast, fresh fruit and bacon.

Lunch was an Italian buffet. There was caesar salad and a cold cut and cheese tray with Italian meats and cheese. There was also a selection of artichoke hearts, olives and mushrooms in caesar dressing. The entrees were a cheese tortellini with tomatoes and a creamy sauce, rigatoni in marinara sauce with cheese (I didn't get any of this) and a breaded chicken with mushrooms and herbs. There was also a selection of different breads and minestrone soup. Dessert was tiramisu.

DSC_0181.jpg

The next day's lunch was an assortment of sandwich meats and cheeses with a variety of rolls and pitas. There was roast beef, ham, turkey and several different cheeses. I think there was also tuna salad and chicken salad. There were several different cold salads there as well such as cucumber salad, pasta salad and potato salad. The tomato florentine soup was wonderful, especially because it was freezing in all of the meeting rooms. Dessert that day was an assortment of cookies, but I didn't get any of those.

DSC_0203.jpg

The last morning's breakfast was breakfast burritos, sausage links and fresh fruit. I think there was also a separate table with bagels and muffins, but I didn't get any of those.

I forgot to take a picture of our second day breakfast, but it was assorted muffins and pastries, hard boiled eggs and a couple of other things that I don't remember.

We had a banquet our first night, and it had salad, breaded chicken breast with mushrooms, mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables with a divine chocolate cake with raspberry sauce for dessert.

I give the convention food a big thumbs up!:thumbsup2
