Disney Food Pictures...Part III

Hmm, it looks like the nachos comes in a different container. It used to be sort of like a to-go box you'd get at a restaurant. This looks much smaller. The toppings seem to be much more piled on top too. They used to sort of be in their own corner with the chips in the middle, if I remember correctly...which I like better because I like to decide how much of each topping to put on each chip. I'm a little OCD, can you tell?

You would be correct!! Here is the way they used to be. Let me guess.....they are more expensive now but less food.

The next 2 pics are from Golden Oak Outpost at Magic Kingdom in Frontierland, the chicken sandwich here was so good I got it on 2 seperate occasions on this trip. The chicken breast itself was very large and very thick, good quality chicken, not a pressed chicken patty

First, thanks for the yummy pics of Kona (one of my favorites!) and Beaches and Cream (on my must-do list for next trip)

I must say though, in over 700 pages of food porn, I have never seen this chicken sandwich or flatbread (in fact I'm embarrased to say I've never even heard of the Golden Oak Outpost) These look utterly delish!! Thanks for sharing

this is the chicken breast sandwich, they put lettuce, tomato and ranch dressing on top, comes with a side of fries
DH had the chicken BLT flatbread, also yummy! It's basically grilled chicken strips (served cold) on top of the flatbread with lettuce, tomato, real bacon crumbles and ranch dressing drizzled on top
Looks great! :thumbsup2 I will have to try it!

Ooooh! That chicken sandwich looks like the one that used to be at the old Tusker House!!! Pecos Bill just got BUMPED!

Does anyone have pictures from Coral Reef? I'm especially interested in seeing the Land & Sea Appetizer and the Baily & Jack Daniels Mousse. I figure with that and some mushroom soup....who needs an entre? :lmao:

Now, in the meantime, I'll be looking through these posts.

we returned from wdw last week so I'm finally getting around to posting our food pics. I didn't get a pic of everything, we usually started eating before I remembered to take pics lol

Next up is Kona Cafe at the Poly, we had dinner here, it was delish!

that's it for this trip, I wish I had taken more pics

My DD (4) is also quite picky and not sure she'd like the kids options at Kona but she would LOVE the wings. Did they let you sub that for a kids meal, by chance or you paid the appetizer pricing and then paid for a side of fries??

And how was the Tuna Oscar? That's the whole reason we plan to go there - DH is a rare tuna fan! What came with it?

Chicken sammie looks amazing!!

Foolish Mortal-Thanks so much, your pictures are AMAZING! I'm dying to have the surf n' turf right now.

And what is that strawberry dessert, and when did you get it? I love strawberries, and that looks incredible!

Yak & Yeti @ Disney's Animal Kingdom

We were too stuffed for dessert on this visit

How are the Deep Fried Green Beans and Egg Rolls?

My husband LOVES the Crispy Mahi Mahi here. I LOVE the ribs. YUM! Next time I hope you have room for dessert. Larry gets the 3 sorbet dessert and I get the wontons. Thankfully next time we will have a party of 8 so we can share lots of stuff and not have to be rolled out of there. ;)

foolishmortals, what was that strawberry dessert like? it is hard to tell except how pretty and delicicous it looks!
Also, what sauces were on the surf & turf?
thanks Jill

ps thanks to your food porn, I booked an ADR there--- never considered it before (going with a 12yr ds)... but not too fancy or romantic (not cool with your mom lol)

I'm glad I saw these Kona pics. We've been for breakfast but going for dinner next week! I've been wanting to go for dinner (or lunch) but just never made it on the ADR list. I'm looking forward to it even more now!!! :-) Thanks! :goodvibes
