how about food from LTT? Is the dinner good? Hoping to get an ADR for the MVMCP on the 7th.
That spot will sell out fast. Better get to booking!:thumbsup2
As for the food, I've done LTT at least once. I seem to remember it being very good. I've done 3/4ths of the restaurants here, and only one stands out as "not" being good. Pizza Planet was the only one on THAT list. I must not be a very picky eater though, because Pizza Planet is the ONLY restaurant I can ever remember saying anything really bad about. The pizza was half cooked. Cheese was cold, and crust was like gummy leather. I've had better "Fox-De-Luxe" pizzas. Aside from that... I can't remember a bad meal anywhere in WDW.

Apostolic... good luck with the restaurant. :)

I'm waiting for the lottery to start mine!;)

Sorry guys....I think I am the reason the thread took a detour....but if it will make up for it we will be in WDW June 30 to July 13 and I have ressies at:
CRT,Hoop De Doo, Spirit of Aloha, 50's Primetime, Garden Grill, San Angel Inn, Chef De France, Lecellier, Whispering Caynon Cafe, and 1900 Park Fare(dinner)- So I will make it up to you all when I return with pictures, K?

I do have room for one more ressie- thinking of the Kona- but searching everyones delicious food pics to make my final decision.

again sorry to have pulled us :offtopic:

Thanks for the compliment SelfEmployedDebtFree! For me food is a passion that has blossomed into a career.....I love everything about food: the history, the culture, the science, the artistry, the emotion associated with designing the perfect meal. Yeah, food has a way of getting my adrenaline pumping.

I'm one of apostolic4life fans on the Disney Recipe Exchange because one can ask any question about cooking and get an intelligent answer that comes from great experience. I completely understand how you feel about food and next to preparing and eating it, I love the study of food in history. I give courses on the "Origins of Cuisine" and hope to be lecturing on cruise ships in the next year.

I was all excited reading about your restaurant venture in Charleston because I'm going to be in Charleston in August. Then I realized it's the Charleston in West Virginia. Funny that two major cities would have the same name. :confused3

Sparkie,
We have a long list of recipe requests at the Disney recipe exchange and several come from the restaurants you're going to. The list is here:
Disney Recipe Request List post #5
and if you could get any of these or any new recipes and post them, that would be very much appreciated as the Chefs are too busy in the summer to answer written requests.

We'd be lying if we said that it didn't factor in...with that said, how about food from LTT? Is the dinner good? Hoping to get an ADR for the MVMCP on the 7th.

This is not the best picture of the food, but it gives you an idea.
We loved it here.
I was a little nervous, as we tend to eat "home-cooking" all the time, and usually things advertised as such are poor imitations.
I have also heard this meal compared to a tv dinner.

Instead, we found it to be delicious, great service--even with a big group--and plentiful character interaction.
They even accomodated our two kids who cannot have wheat.
Special rolls, gravy, and dedicated plates of food without stuffing.
Plain ice cream for dessert.

I only wish I could have eaten more!
Since they took away the appetizer on the dining plan, family style and buffet meals have become a better value than they were.
We were perfectly content with this one.

My only beef with the place is it's tiny bathroom that you have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to. :confused3

Honestly, we had a lot of great meals on the dining plan that trip, but this was the only one I craved afterward. Mmmmm.... :lovestruc

The basket had a wonderful variety! If it were warmed bread or just from the oven, then it would have been MY entree. The olive oil they gave on the plate was a generous pour, and it was from one of those fancy shmancy brands. You can tell that it was because it came from a tall thin bottle with a spout and the oil itself had a strong fruity aroma.

Do what Topanga and Cory did on Boy Meets World---take the bread with you! As Cory said: "They WANT you to take the rolls!" ::yes::

I can see it now. I'll be like those little old ladies at buffets, pulling out my Zip Loc bags and loading up the bread to take home :rotfl:

All the food in WDW, all the ADRS I have, and would you believe that THAT bread is what I'm now looking forward to the most?

Totally agree with all of these...we returned three weeks ago after our 1st WDW vacation...8 nights with the DPP...
LTT was our absolute favourite TS of them all. In fact the LTT, the H-D-D Revue and Coral Reef are the only ones my kids want to return to when we go again... LTT was #1 with us.

Someone requested pictures of the surf and turf at Narcoosees. I don't have any pictures to post but recently I started a thread asking for opinions of Narcoosees and several people posted pictures of the surf and turf as well as the whole lobster and the famous almond crusted cheesecake.
Here's the link. Hope it helps.

Thanks for posting that. DH and I are considering celebrating our anniversary there is Sept (either there or CRT which we have booked right now) so all the pics and thoughts are great! :goodvibes

This is my mother! :rotfl: She always takes baggies to the buffets and comes away with loads of pastries in her purse to snack on the rest of the day. Once I helped pack her suitcase because she was staying with me right before we left and she asked me several times had I given her baggies..."Did you give me enough?? I must have enough baggies!" :lmao:

Anyway...back to the food porn...sorry I won't be able to contribute (food porn wise) until September. If anyone wants some Vegas food porn though, let me know...

I've had that! Its DELICIOUS!!! Mine was very sweet. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was just like it sounds if I remember correctly. Peanut Butter and Jelly. But it was very well blended, and you couldn't differentiate really. It was just a creamy ice cold bliss.:thumbsup2
