Here's DD's plate - she insisted I get a shot - possible future food porn addict? :lmao:

peel & eat shrimp, mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, honeydew & cantalope.

My plate:

clockwise from bottom = sweet & sour chicken & rice (so - so mostly sodium taste), green beans (good - not too soft), mashed potatoes (yum), herb crusted salmon (very good), mixed fruit (all the fruit @ disney was incredibly good), mussels (enh).

Overall, the food was metza - metza. But the dessert! Mmmmmm:

:rotfl: that's dd's soft serve w/ chocolate sauce. Again, she insisted.

My plate:

2 key lime tarts (one with orange on it), apple crisp w / vanilla sauce, white chocolate cheesecake, chocolate mousse (wow!), and seven layer bars. The desserts made the meal worth it!

Again, DD insisted I photo her plate :rotfl:

mac & cheese, green beans, chicken nuggets...

she had plate #2 (because these foods CANNOT touch):

DSCF2275.jpg

strawberries, apple slices, peel & eat shrimp, carrots.

My salad plate:

DSCF2276.jpg

left to right, tropical cole slaw, some vegetable salad, beet salad. All three were very good - cole slaw couldn't notice the "tropical" too much - it was pineapple.

My entree plate:

Clockwise from top, DELICIOUS salmon (had a slightly spicy sauce), mixed potato w/ vegetable, pulled pork (kind of bland), mussels alfredo (yum), mashed potato, cheesey broccoli, and pasta primavera in the middle.

This meal was very good - there were a lot more choices, like standard carving meats, many more pastas. Too many to choose.

Then, of course, the desserts:

clockwise from top: peanut butter chocolate cake (almost too sicky sweet), key lime pie (yum), coconut flan (yum again), and whiskey soaked chocolate trifle (as if I need to say YUM). Again, desserts were phenomenal!

That is it!

I had thought CP for breakfast! We won't like dinner or lunch.

I was wrong.

You showed me the error of my ways.

Thanks for posting the pics!!!!!

We were very pleasantly surprised by the buffet. Here's my plate, let's see if I can remember everything:

DSCF2009.jpg

Clockwise from bacon (since that's the most recognizable): potato wedges, sweet potato casserole, ham, vegetable quiche, beef bobotie (sp?), sausage pattie, cheese crepe w/ apple, chocolate and mango (?) bread, orange banana bread, chocolate croissant. The only thing I really didn't like was the orange & banana bread - it was dry. Everything else was fantastic.

I LOVED the veggie quiche! We were at Tusker house last wednesday and I had 3 pieces!

How was everything? Im trying to decide weither or not if I wanna keep our ADR for breakfast. Was it worth the money? For DH and I, it will be $70.
"Worth" is a hard word to define. For us it was. It was my DD's 5th birthday and was really special for her. You aren't paying for the food lets just say.... Overall, we loved this breakfast and are returning there for our next trip.

every time i look at these posts I am more hooked and can't decide whether or not I want to change some of my dinner reservations....lol
I would have to stay a month to eat everything I want...lol and then I would weigh 30 lbs more than I do now!!!

lindsmom, Your pictures are great!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Thanks! I thought I'd be self - conscious taking pictures of my food, but it really wasn't that awkward... I wish I had gotten Chef Mickey's the first night, but we were still settling in.

Wait! Did they change the torte back into the all chocolate version? For a while it was a blondie.

OMG OMG OMG...hummmanah hummmanah hummmanah....the pictures of the volcano cake are making me feel feelings that no decent mommy should feel. I absolutely must have this, its my new obsession!

I'd love to see some food pics from the Japanese Steak House that was just refurbished. Sounds delish! :surfweb:

I know we've seen these before, but I'm so excited to have pictures to share!

Kona @ Poly:

We finished with the volcano cake - to die for!

:scared1: THAT LOOKS SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: Norway Princess Breakfast - the food was good, nothing outrageously fantastic, but nice breakfast food. Value? We were on the dining plan, (and free to boot) so we had no problem with it, but if we had to pay??? I would probably spend my money on Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace.
If I HAD to see princesses at breakfast? Definately Norway.

RE: Mom's Night Out dinner specials at Pop - I didn't think the fried chicken was that great, but the turkey dinner was awesome!
