So in the spring after they released the summer DCL cruises, I booked a Jan 2017 Family Concierge Cruise ( we're Silver). It was to be our family 2016 Christmas present. Then we started feeling the pangs and withdrawal of no WDW so I just booked a week @ BWV. We own DVC so that helps, but I think I need an immunization program to deal with my Disney flu.

It is a very expensive disease... There seems to be no cure. The best one can hope for is to reduce the symptoms by spending large sums of money. Best of luck treating this truly devastating disorder.

:crazy2: :confused3

Cure:-

Cut up the credit card.

Unfortunately DCL will gladly accept debit, cash and check as well so that won't work for us. We don't finance any of our cruises (ok, we do put it on our miles card and pay it off, immediately but you get the idea - lack of credit won't stop us) and my case of the Disney flu is worse than ever with no countdown ticker to alleviate symptoms. Maybe the only real cure is to become a CM. DCL would certainly feel less magical if you're out to see for months at a time, working 14+ hour days, cleaning barf off the pool deck and fishing turds out of the pool, right?

Congrats on your cruise! Have you done conceirge before? We are on a b2b for 7 days ( 3 & 4 night on The Dream ) in September so very excited. We are also DVC members. Staying at SSR and VGF.

Hope you enjoy!

This is exactly what we did. Gotta get those miles... Every credit card is paid in full every month. I refuse to pay interest. Why pay interest when I can use that money to pay for a vacation and a couple of cold adult beverages...

luckily we take a couple of doses of WDW a month to get us through. Big benefit from living in Orlando. :smooth:

I have always been infected with the incurable travel flu. Wanna go go go -- got no money and not enough time -- so the disease festers

So true. The rewards dollars you earn are pointless if you end up paying interest!

We don't finance either... Contagious- did a Dream cruise in April, because I needed a rest, from the winter, busy life. Now off to the Poly, club level, for my daughter's high school graduation. There are worse things in life, but it is/has been an expensive year. LOL

Yes we did it in 2014 also concierge for my milestone birthday. We had such a blast and DD14 (now16) loved the club so I wanted to get another cruise in before she ages out. We're planning no special dining but will try for a cabana. Not staying on property after - yet - but the plane tix aren't bought yet.

Nice. What a good idea to get another cruise in before DD starts college. So the jury is still out on WDW stay! We have booked Palo brunch and dinner. We will also have Palo delivered to the room one night. That's a nice binus they offer in the suite. Also we booked tickets for Elsa and Anna meet and greet and the 5 princesses. I know we are two grown women...but you know what the heck it's fun! I also liked that last time they had a surprise character meet and greet on the concierge sundeck. We had stitch. Did you get one of these?

I hear The Dream now has a shade over the sun deck and added a hot tub! Neat!

the DCL flu on top of the WDW flu is ridiculous. Caught that in 2013 and we were Gold in April, sailing in October and have October '17 booked with 15 new victims...

It's even more expensive when you add in flights from Australia! We went on our 'one in a lifetime' DCL cruise in 2011. Yeah right. Cruises 7, 8, and 9 are all booked.

And it is contagious...my DW had no interest in anything Disney before we were married. Now she is full on board with WDW, DVC and DCL.
Yep. My DH is the same. :).

Yes. We had Stitch one or two evenings. I have seen the remodels of the waterfall (wrong term, can't remember what it's called) and tub on the concierge around one of the radar poles. We are definitely looking forward to some time there.
