I've never been to Disney during this time.
Can anyone tell me what the crowds and weather will be like?

We were there last year Feb 29 and it was a bit chilly. we ended up at Walmart buying jackets. But it's my understanding that the temp can fluctuate quite a bit. Can be chilly or warm or anything in between.

The crowds were fine as there was no holiday. We're going back this year Feb 20th, so obviously we liked it. LOL

We were there last year from Feb. 23-29 and it was great. The first three days were very pleasant. We wore shorts and t-shirts all day. The crowds were very low and we walked on or waited less than 10 minutes for everything. The last two days we were there, a cold front moved in and it was cold. We are from Mississippi so, we get cold quick. Luckily, I had packed everyone a fleece hoodie, jeans, long-sleeve shirts, hats and gloves. It was still fun and the crowds made the cold worth it. I would definetly go back during this time. By the way, we stayed at POFQ and we felt like we had the resort to ourselves.

Thanks for asking this question. We normally go in Jan, but had to put it off till Feb 21 this time. I'm glad to hear that it's still a good time to go.

That week is Mardi Gras in New Orleans in 2009, so many families from the area take their Disney trips then, as the kids are out of school for the week. We go at this time quite often, great time to go, crowds are lower and weather is great! But just be aware that you will see lots of Mardi Gras escapees!
