Hello - we are looking for keepsake ideas for wedding favors. We want it to be a momento, but not super "touristy"...We are thinking of a small magnet photo holder for a refrigerator, or for desk. Trying to stay under $15 each.

We found 2 as examples...like them, but don't LOVE them.

Anything anyone has seen?

Other ideas for wedding favors? We don't want chocolates, or candy etc...

Thanks

I've seen ornaments done as wedding favors before, both ordered from Disney as well as DIY. I imagine the DIY route would be cheaper, but have no personal experience to vouch on. I also heard of at least one bride who bought the ornaments then personalized them herself for her date.

That being said, I know we had a least one non-Christmas celebrating family in attendance who might not have appreciated the holidays intention, so I would suggest this depending on your own guest list and what you know of them :)

I just jumped on here to ask the same question. We're doing an offsite disney wedding, but still want something disney.

I was thinking mickey/minnie ears, but I can't see ones that I like for a good price.

I've also seen some people give away the 'I'm celebrating' badges. That's a neat idea.

Another idea is disposable cameras. But that could be used instead of a photobooth, with different disney props.

We did ornaments too that we bought from the Christmas store in downtown Disney. They were $25 for 6. We then put our name and date on a tag and then tied the tag to the ornament.

Thanks for the idea of ornaments, but her family is Jewish...so ornaments won't really work.

It's a little less meaningful but we gave our guests a lanyard and Disney pins. Then we encouraged them to trade! Our guests really enjoyed it.

I saw trading pins as well somewhere in a post/blog. I like the ornaments idea too.
I don't know if I'm going to end up doing favors, might do a special gift instead, since mine will be so small.

What about the mini Mickey ear ornament and use them as place cards. They offered to write a name on mine when I bought it.

we are thinking about a small magnet photo frame for the fridge - we are going to have instant cameras available for guests to take photos for our guestbook, so it makes sense to send them home with a photo too :)

Ours was Cinderella-themed so we did small carriage candles for the adults and the kids got personalized Mickey ears. We then had autograph books for everyone since most of our guests were staying on for extra time after the wedding.

We did Disney pins on the escort cards for the reception. I was tickled when we came in to see some of the people had put them on immediately! :) (at home wedding with Disney touches)

Thanks!!

I had some of the pins. For the others, I bought a bunch on Ebay, from a legit seller. They were all multipacks, still in original packaging. Then, I "had" to go to WDW to trade out some of the ones I didn't like for some better ones, trying to match as many as I could to guests. :)

since we couldn't get married at WDW, we had a few touches: Hidden Mickeys on the vases, my bouquet, and my cake. A little Disney music from our harpist; these pins; and we left with our bride and groom mouse ears on. Oh, and an "UP" guest sign in poster.

Are you able to pass on the name of the ebay seller? :)
Ooh do you have a pj?

The ebay seller was bizzybee1, recommended on one of the collector forums here on the DIS. They were legit pins, 25 pins for $49.95; I got 2 sets. They were all different. Though they were mostly the 'starter packs' and not what I wanted for my guests, so I went to WDW and made some trades with them.

I don't have a PJ. I probably should do a little post with how I 'Disneyfied' my wedding. Here is my cake, though. Just had a few Hidden Mickeys. bridecake.jpg

And my vases: dots with one Hidden Mickey per vase. So it was there, and I knew it was there, but guests wouldn't be overwhelmed with the Disney stuff.

That's such a beautiful cake! I love the hidden mickeys, those are really fun.

As for favors, I haven't committed to something entirely yet, but since my wedding is very Lady and the Tramp, I was thinking something spaghetti like? Dry Pasta maybe in a little bag might be fun.

Hi! Which ornaments did you purchase? Did you personalize the ornaments or just the tag?

My daughter had a Finding Nemo theme wedding.....so these were the favors.....(I know you said you didn't want chocolate but just added that in);
everyone got water bottles/pins/door tags and we also purchased some bookmarks for the younger guests (purchased in disney hotel gift shop)
