First, I apologize for waiting so long to write a TR from our Western cruise on the Fantasy 5/26-6/2. It was myself, Tony, and my wonderful DW, Janet. We are in our mid 40s and are empty nesters. All four kids out on their own and doing well. So just the two of us on the cruise. It was our 6th Disney Cruise. We made Gold Castaway Club!! We met up with friends we made on our last cruise, Dave and Bonnie; they are Platinum! They are the same age as my parents and just awesome people. Dave had more energy than anyone on the ship. Now to the reort:
Things we loved:
-The Ship - Just gorgeous with Plenty of room. The room for adults is excellent. the Quit Cove and the extra Satellite Falls area are terrific. The theater is nice as are all the public areas.
-Restaurantrants. All three were very nice and had great atmosphere. Loved the look of Royal Court and the shows at Animators Palette and it was much more open than on the older ships. The food at Palos was very good. Did not eat at Remy's. Cabanas is huge and has plenty of choices.
-Shows. All full productions were very high quality and excellent
-Staff. Wow. Just Fantastic. They definitely got it right here. We loved the activities staff led by Max, Steph, Stepanie, Tina et al. Our waitstaff was the best we have ever had. Lady and Marina were so much fun and our Stateroom Atendant Merlin was very attentive and always on the ball.
-Adult Cabaret and clubs. We had a blast at the Tube every night. We won the Match Your Mate and I gt called on stage a few other times during the week as well. Magic Dave was hilarious. We also loved o'Gills, Skyline and Oo La La. All themed great. Plus even though everything is right next to each other, once you are in the club you can not hear the others at all.

Just OK: Ports. We have been before, no biggie. Then the weather on CC was a bit gloomy.

Things not so good:
-Service at Palos. Our server was a very nice young lady but definitely not ready for Palos. Not nearly attentive enough, and we had her for a dinner and a brunch.
-Keeping under 18s out of Adult areas. This happened a few times and sometimes it was a Mom wanting the young-ins to be with her. Other times it was younger teens. We saw this at the pool, the clubs and on Castaway Cay. The staff was slow to ask for Key Cards or say anything. We had to let staff know to take care of the issue a few times. And then they did. You must defend your turf! ;-)

We LOVED the Fantasy so much we are booked for the end of January!:love

I know I missed a bunch, so if you have a question, shoot.

Thanks for the TR! I'm sailing on the Fantasy western on 9/1 so I love reading all about it! One question for you - who was the cruise director?

Ray was the Cruise Director. very nice to talk to.

Also, Max was the head of the Activities Team. But, Trevor was taking over for a couple months for Max's vacation. Max was good but we LOvE Trevoe. So either way it's a win!

Enjoyed reading your review! We were on this sailing and also loved it. Congrats on the 'Match your Mate' win! That activity is always a blast to watch. We didn't spend as much time in Europa as I wanted (there's never enough time, right?) so I definintely want to make it a priority next time. Did any of the bars get crowded/too full during any activities? The night we visited the Piazza, it was close to empty.

You must defend your turf! ;-)

This is what I say about my buffet plate! :rotfl:

Thanks for sharing! Have a great vacation in January! :goodvibes

It did get a bit crowded in the Tube for the Adult Cabaret and O'Gills was packed for Trivia night. Otherwise it was very manageable.

The only excursion was the Turtle Farm in Grand Cayman. Definitely pretty cool. We have done a Beach Break in Cozumel in the past and liked that.
