Disney Fantasy ~ October 4, 2014 ~ Eastern Caribbean

Hi everyone!

Im new to the group here, but not new to the Dis or DCL
I just found out this morning that my parents are paying for my hubby and I to come with them on this sailing!!

This will be my 6th DCL sailing and my husbands 3rd DCL sailing. I've been on the wonder twice, magic and dream once, and this will be my 2nd time on the Fantasy!!!

Hubby and I will be celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary, and my sister will be celebrating her 22nd birthday.

Cant wait to sail with everyone!

From Maryville? We are from Lenoir City ! and first time Disney Cruisers too.
I'll get you added to the Dis Boards roll call this evening.

Yes from Maryville, just across the dam. This week of Oct is our fall break and we usually spend it at our other home (WDW) but this year decided to take the plunge and sign up for the cruise!!!

We are SOOOO excited!!! My son will be graduating HS this May. He is a little concerned that he will be bored or can't find anyone to hang with. I told him that there would be plenty of teens on board to mix and mingle with.

If there are any other teens 16-18 that are traveling with us, please let me know so I can tell him. And if any are on the forums, maybe I can let him know so they can talk on-line before the cruise. Thanks in advance!!!

When you get a chance keep checking the roll call and FE docs. Our group is continuously growing I don't specifically know of any that are currently on this forum (mostly the parents but we do have someone in his age range who is active in the FB group and has cruised with Disney before. I'm sure she would be a wealth of info for his age range.

I like the gangway idea. Not sure about swinging over the side of a ship lol. The animated virtual portholes are very neat!

People hang some sort of holder off the fish hook outside of their stateroom and people deliver random goodies to them throughout the length of the cruise It's a lot of fun. We've done it on the dream but it got to be expensive for us and hard to ship stuff down there.

People either handmade their goodies or purchase various things to deliver to rooms

It's fun! I would search the boards for more examples of what it is! Im sure you could google it too!

So 3 out 6 of us may take part in the CC5k. First of all we don't run. And as the popular saying goes.
"I don't run. If you see me running, you should too; because chances are I'm being chased" so we will need all 7 months to "train" (loosely speaking of course)

But since this may be our only Disney cruise and we are all trying to live a more healthy lifestyle we figured what the heck.
My hubby is a willing participant, but our 12 yr old needs some motivation so my question is: can you keep the bib? He is fixated on the bib.
