Welcome!!! Haha-- guess you're hooked now ;) My DH did the same thing on our Magic cruise... We are DVC and I caught him in his dreamy cruise state :cloud9: and we bought another point contract on that cruise b/c he wanted enough points to do more weeks like that-- must be something in the water to addict us :goodvibes

Thanks. We are also DVC and used our points for this last cruise but will pay cash for the next ones, using our points to stay at WDW a few days prior or after the cruise.

I was already hooked! We did two river cruises on the old Majestic, now American, Cruise Lines. I loved it and couldn't wait to do more. DW was a little more hesitant about DCL but she really enjoyed the spa, Palos, and both our DIS friends and table mates.

But I'm the travel (and travelling) person in our family so you probably won't meet her until embarkation day. We'll be taking our two adult children as they were disappointed we did something Disney without them (they've been going to WDW since before they were born).

This would be nice, but several of us would lose our discounts associated with booking on our last cruise as well as our onboard credits. I love that website though, so hate that I can't participate!

Hmmm, not sure who that info came from but we booked this cruise just last month on the WBTA as a dummy date and had it switched over to this one. So, we have the on board credit and 10% discount and we were able to keep all of it upon transfering to the Allearsnet group. I even called DCL to confirm. The only thing you wouldn't get is any on board credit from your current travel agent but that really doesn't apply since they won't usually transfer between travel agencies. Plus, like I said, Mouse Fan Travel is not offering on board credit for this cruise since they will be hosting special events and giving away gifts on board.

Anyway, no pressure to anyone. I've never done anything like it before so just thought it might be fun to attend some of their private events and have a few people I already know to go with. :goodvibes

I just transferred a dummy booking we made to the TA handling the AllEars group. You will not lose your 10% booking discount or your original OBC that you get from DCL. You will not get any additional OBC .
We have travelled with that group before on the Eastern Caribbean. They are a blast to travel with. We had private cocktail parties, special events with great prizes and a great time.

Just a curiosity question (although I think I already know the answer :) ), but do you know if there's a way to be a part of the group without having your reservation through them? I'm assuming DVC ressies can't be transferred, so I'll skip that question altogether :) It sounds like SO much fun, but, although I love my DVC, this is one of the few down sides of DVC cruising :(

You can always call DCL and ask to have your reservations linked. You'll need to know the DCL reservations numbers for everyone. Can't hurt to ask.

We had two families on my cruise last week that booked through different agents and were on two different decks. They managed to get linked together so they could be seated together at dinner.

487 days to go!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, just needed to say that!! Have been over-excited about the cruise all day!!!

I'm Susan (42) and my DH is Tony (42). We have been married for nearly 22 years and have done Disney in one form or another every other year during our marriage, save for one year that we did a Florida wedding and group concensus was to go to Universal (blasphemy, I know). We are Disney-freaks (the good kind!)---DH even has an arm band tattoo of Mickey heads.

This will be our third cruise, but second Disney cruise. We were on the Magic in Feb/March of 2010, NCL Epic in Sept 2010, and are so excitedly awaiting this Fantasy trip.

We have two kids (Kevin, 21 and Kelsey, 17) that both were on the prior Disney cruise and had a blast. It was Kelsey's 2nd Disney cruise, having traveled as a baby-sitter previously. Only Kelsey (at this point) will be joining us this time around, however we have a slew of family going along:

Lisa (my sister)
Liz (neice) and her twin 6 year old boys (Kayden and Kyran)
Jon (nephew, and Liz's brother)
Jessica (Jon's wife)
Kenlee and Jon-Jon (Jon and Jessica's kids)
Mary Kaye (Jon and Liz's mother, who is also Lisa, mine and Chris's sister)
Grandma Longshore (Jon and Liz's grandma)
Bob and Mona (DH's parents)
Lori (DH's sister) and Robert (Lori's DH)
Lori's son Eric (and his friend Ryan)
Lori's daughter Cortney
Robert's kids (Ashley-16, Robbie-14, Chris-13)
Chris (my brother) and his daughter Elise-18

That clocks us in at 25 people over 10 rooms. And there are others that are contemplating joining us!

Wow that is a large group!!! How lovely all going on vacation together!!!!!

We just booked while on the Magic last week.

This was our first DCL cruise and DW loved it so much that we signed up for two more (the other will be in the Med in 2012 once the dates come out).

This cruise it will be me (Bill), DW (Eileen), DD (Jenn - just turned 25) and DS (Chris - 20).

I just went back and read the earlier posts and saw the question about the lower pricing for oceanview vs inside cabins. We were going to get an inside cabin until the DCL rep onboard the Magic said they were higher priced due to the popularity of the virtual porthole. So we opted for oceanview cabins (6004 and 6008). Works for me as one faces forward looking over the bow!

Looking forward to meeting you all.

Hi and welcome!!!!! :goodvibes

Finally getting around to posting a picture of me and Tony!

This is us in Disneyworld in October 2010.

We have been together for 9 years in July, and will have been married 5 years this year - we got married in WDW at the Wedding Pavillion. We have two dogs - Wilbur and Milly - and no children. Children tend to love us though so any of you with children will probably get plenty of spare time on the cruise as they will be playing with me!! I work at a PA in Local Government, and Tony is an Environmental Health Officer in Local Government. We get to Disneyworld as much as we possibly can considering we are a 9 hour flight away. We are going to Disneyland this year (with Jordan who we met on the 2009 cruise - yey!!!):cool1: and are just back from our first Christmas in WDW (which was colder than England, so least said, soonest mended about that!!!). This will be our second cruise and we cannot wait!!

So exciting to see more people joining the cruise! We are going to have a blast. I'm already trying to think up what our fish extender is going to be and what gifts we might do. Woohoo!

Ok since we are doing the formal introductions here we go. It will be me (Lynsey - 28), my husband Jason (29), and our daughter Kaitlyn (17 months at sailing). I've been to Disneyworld multiple times since I was 5 and on 2 DCL cruises. I've definately been converting my husband since we've been married and going on on our Disneymoon in 2006. I definately hope my daughter will grow to love Disney as much as I do! :cutie:

I'm an accountant (CPA) at a bank and my husband in an environmental scientist. In addition to our daughter we have 3 furry kids - 2 dogs (Bucky and Abby) and 1 cat (Milo). We both love the outdoors and working out, but since having Kaitlyn it's been hard to get in the 6 day a week workouts I was used to!

Here is a picture of our little family. Kaitlyn was just 11 days in this picture so I definately have alot of fluid and baby weight! We'll definately have to post update pictures of everyone, especially those with kids since they will change soo much before the cruise.

Hmmm... not sure. I upload my photos to webshots and then link them that way. I know that there are a few link options. I think I use the one that is for forums. You can try different links if you have them available and click "preview post" to see if it works before posting.

Sooo...I am one of those 25 family members going and can't wait. It's killing me that it is so far off yet.

Like my wife, I am TOTALLY ADDICTED to this board and this thread.

Welcome Everyone!!!
We are going to be one BIG Happy DIS family on the ship!
Could you imagine if we all were on the same dining rotation?? We could take up the entire resturant I'm sure. That would be fun!!

Sonya- Heck yes I'm soooo excited for June!! I think Gus and Chasity will be joining us for a bit too.

Great pictures!!! Now let's get the Dream sailing and onto more stuff about OUR ship!! :D

Hi everyone!

I just found this thread! I haven't had time to catch up yet...looks like I'll have a lot to read. ;)

My name is Stephanie, DH is Simon. We'll be taking our 2nd Disney cruise and are so excited that it will be on the Fantasy in a Concierge room! We'll be taking our DD, Elle, who will have just turned 4 right before the cruise. Feels so funny saying that when she's not even 3 yet. We're also hoping that we might have another very young Dis'er on our hands by then, but more than likely not.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone over the next 16 months! :goodvibes
