**Disney Fantasy June 30th, 2012- EASTERN**

Can anybody tell me where I can find on the DCL website the information about what nights are formal, semi formal, casual, pirate nights, etc. I know i've seen it before but now I can't find it. Thanks!

Pirate Deck Party is Tuesday.

The formal and semi-formal nights aren't set in stone yet - but will likely follow the days Magic had on her 7 night voyages.

Those aren't listed specifically anywhere on DCLs site - but if you look on the FAQ sticky, they're in there.

I've had this same question! I saw this question asked a few weeks back in this link and the original consensus was

So to recap (to make sure I understand this correctly), for my Fantasy Eastern this summer, dining should be like so:

Day ------Port --------------------- Dining

SAT 1 ----Port Canaveral, Florida---- NOTHING SPECIAL
SUN 2 ---- At Sea ------------------Rotational night
MON 3 ----At Sea ------------------Rotational night
TUES 4 ----St. Maarten ------------ Pirate night
WED 5 ----St. Thomas/St. John ---- Rotational night
THUR 6 ----At Sea ---------------- Captain's Gala (lobster!)
FRI 7 ----Castaway Cay ------------ NOTHING SPECIAL
SAT 8 ----Port Canaveral, Florida ----

So night 1 (Sat) and night 7 (Fri), don't have any special events? Would those be the best nights to try to get a Palo ressie?

But then it was updated by LadyOfNawlins like so:

Day ------Port --------------------- Dining

SAT 1 ----Port Canaveral, Florida---- NOTHING SPECIAL I think this day is Rotational/Casual
SUN 2 ---- At Sea ------------------Rotational night I think this day is not rotational but rather formal
MON 3 ----At Sea ------------------Rotational night
TUES 4 ----St. Maarten ------------ Pirate night
WED 5 ----St. Thomas/St. John ---- Rotational night
THUR 6 ----At Sea ---------------- Captain's Gala (lobster!) I think this day is also semi-formal
FRI 7 ----Castaway Cay ------------ NOTHING SPECIAL
SAT 8 ----Port Canaveral, Florida ----

See my notes above. I don't know if this will change when the Fantasy comes out. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Then this thread also popped up about it. That OP listed this rotation:

Hi,

We will be able to book our Palo and excursion soon.

I was looking at old Magic Naviagtors and was wondering if the same itinerary will follow for the Fantasy.

Example:

Saturday = Cruise Casual Sea day
Sunday = Formal Night Sea day
Monday = Cruise Casual Sea Day
Tuesday = Pirate night St. Maarten
Wednesay = Cruie Casual St. Thomas
Thursday = Semi Formal Sea Day
Friday = Cruise Casual Castaway Cay

Does anyone know if the Fantasy will follow the same schedule. I don't want to book Palo on Pirate night.

Thanks

If yoou can't tell, I can't wait to find out what it will actually be

Don't forget that Wednesday in St. Thomas is also Independence Day! I am hoping for some really good fireworks!pixiedust:pixiedust:

Do you think they will do fireworks for Independence Day? Since they will do them for Pirate Night.:confused3

They did when we were on the ship in 1999 for the 4th of July. We were docked in Nassau and all the other ships were SO jealous!!!
I hope they do it again!!

How many of you are going to dress up for pirate night? I have never been on a pirate night - I was on about 6 months before they started it.

This thread added more info!

Here you go.:)

Eastern Caribbean cruises:

1-R/A/E/R/A/E/R
2-A/E/R/A/E/R/A
3-E/R/A/E/R/A/E

Formal night is day 2, Pirates in day 4 and Semi Formal is day 6

BAMBINA - I do not believe I have you on the list unless you are one of the people who I do not have a DIS name for. You would know you are on the list if you have been recieving emails from me. Let me know and I am sure if it was a mistake and you were not added to THIS list I am sure no one would complain if I made you the last family added as it was probably an oversight on my part.

I am Diana! I have received one list from you, and I was listed but didn't have my cabin number yet. I haven't received anything else, but you and I have been emailing!! :yay:

According to the DCL site under "My Cruise Activities" for my reservation, Day 4 (July 3rd) is listed as Pirate Deck Party.
Does that mean we'll get fireworks on July 3rd **AND** July 4th?

I will definitely be dressing the kids up. DS was a pirate for Halloween specifically so we could duel purpose his costume. My MIL also got pirate "gymmies" for both kids to wear later. Those are jammies, but are also costumes (made by Gymboree).

I tried to find hats for DH and I, but couldn't find any on sale. We may just go with the bandanas that DCL provides and maybe some eyepatches. pirate:

I have seen some of the costumes on other threads, and some people go all out. If luggage space weren't such a major issue, I might consider doing more.

We dressed up last cruise and it was fun - and our girls thought it was fun too. Due to limited luggage space, I suspect I'll dress in a festive manner but not in an official costume this next time. I have to say that the family picture from that night turned out to be one of my favorites. Also, since everyone at our table dressed up, we took a group photo that night that turned out great too.

Does anyone know when the "official" schedule will come out?

I was thinking that the official schedule would come out after the Fantasy's first sailing to the Eastern Caribbean - but it sounds like perhaps others are finding information on through other posts. I'm hoping that the fireworks will be on the 4th of July (or as someone else suggested) two nights in a row!

We will be dressing up. Heck, my parents already have their costumes.

I? Am not that on the ball.

We are joining you on the June 30th sailing of the Fantasy. This will be our fourth Disney cruise, having previously sailed on the Magic and the Wonder. We will not be joining the FE group, but will be decorating our door... with only magnetic decorations. (Yep, I read that post. We have only ever used magnetic decorations.)

Pawleys4 consists of Mom, Dad, 21-yr-old son who will be a rising college junior, and 17-yr-old son who will have just graduated high school and will be starting college in the fall. Both boys are very sociable and keep in touch with friends met on prior cruises.

We will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and our son's graduation. Neither son knows we are taking this cruise yet. It will be a surprise at graduation. We are looking forward to sailing with you all. Now I need to read all these prior postings!

Bingo has a Pirate costume too!

How old is your son? I am taking my son on the cruise because I told each of my kids that I would take them each on a one week vacation of their choice (within reason of course) as my high school graduation gift to them. He chose the Disney cruise point blank. There were not even any other options thrown out.

Anyway, my son is also in a large troop. He is currently a Life scout, but has finished his Eagle project. He just has one merit badge to finish and then he is on his way. He has been to Philmont in New Mexico 5 times. I would say if you can handle it, definetaly send your son because it is a once in a lifetime thing for most. My son passed up Sea Base in Florida this summer to go BACK to Philmont.

OK. Now my question. For those of you doing WDW before or after the cruise, do you do it on your own or do you plan it thru a travel agent? What is the cheapest way to do and see WDW? I am from CA. so I grew up at Disneyland. Just about lived there. I have also been on the Disney cruise before, but have NEVER been to WDW.

Did your son get his Eagle Scout? Just this past weekend we had the Eagle Scout ceremony for our younger son (age 17). Our older son is an Eagle Scout as well. (age 21)

I am very glad to see so many recent high school grads and college students going on this cruise. Both of my boys love the teen club. When we last cruised, the older son was too old for the teen club. There were only a handful of college students onboard and my son did not click with them. He thought they were boring. So he ended up doing mostly adult activities while our younger son was still glued to the teen club. Hopefully there will be more fun-loving college students on this cruise.

Here's one pointer: The college kids need to make sure they attend the very first activity organized for them. Otherwise they do not get to know the other college students onboard, and may feel like an outsider joining in later.
