**Disney Fantasy June 30th, 2012- EASTERN**

Hello all! We are getting closer to our sail date. Just a few months now. We've had some chilly, rainy weather here in Seattle. The idea of July in the Caribbean definitely helps me stay warm!

We went on Christmas to see the Muppet Movie and DS5 LOVED it! He has been singing the "Man or Muppet" song ever since. I can't wait to play the interactive game onboard. :)

So I see we have a lot of kids who have turned 18 on this cruise (my dd included). My youngest dd was asking me what the drinking age is on the islands since the oldest will be 18. I looked into it and it looks like the drinking age is 18 for both St. Marten and St. Thomas. So any thoughts from the parents of 18 year olds? Are you going to let you kids try a drink on the islands? Since this is my oldest I am thinking no but she will be going to college in a few months after the trip and I won't have any control over what she tries there. Any thoughts?

Oh gosh, that is a tough question. My DS will only be 17, but a few months away from 18. this is a personal decsion and NO flames please... but I probably would let him drink when he was with us. At least to try it out and hopefully guide him by showing him to be responsible with drinking. DH and I don't drink. I can't because of coumadin, and DH rarely drinks, so I think that to allow him a taste would help to avoid some college experimenting.

My son doesnt turn 18 until we get off the ship so I dont have that dilemma. Im not sure I would encourage drinking much in case it turns into a terrible hangover on a rocky ship- but I think I would be ok with a fruity beach cocktail or one drink. Its tough!

Hey guys, not sure if you have looked at the thread that is titled "the building of the Fantasy..." but there are some great links to check out.

I liked this one in case you missed it...

Also just have to mention I feel so bad for everyone involved in the cruise ship that sank a couple of days ago, I just heard about it last night, and had to keep DD away from the news so she wouldn't see it. I know she would have freaked out. Very scary that it happened, I do feel safe on our ships, but it brings back the reality of how important the muster drills are. We always go to them, I know I will be paying a bit more attention this time...

I've been doing OK on the diet, but tomorrow starts my Biggest loser competion through DH's work, and I know I will be hitting the diet very hard!

Its hard to believe this can happen with todays technology but it does wake you up. I too have been hoping my son does not see this (he hasnt mentioned it yet) because he already talks about not wanting to go as it is.

On a better note- I love all of the pictures that have gotten out. Very neat to see how much work it takes to put it all together.

I checked out those pictures and they are wonderful. It really gives you a feel for what the ship will look like.

Hi all -
Just stopping in quickly - regarding a meet up - I just booked the Dream today for a 3 night in April - I'll try to scope out some places while I'm on board.

My kiddos are starting to get excited about the trip - and are starting to look beyond even spring break (which is usually the highlight of their year!)

How COOL! Have fun.

We put the last of the Christmas stuff away this weekend, and DH realized that we needed to get the luggage out, as it is usually stored way behind the holiday boxes in the attic. :goodvibes

Just wanted to share that I finally settled on my FE gift.

I'm going by cabin, not by person - look for it on the first day for use throughout the cruise :goodvibes

I finally figured out what I was going to do for the FE gifts. However, I haven't decided yet if they will work for all the groups: boys and girls (young and old). Our DS who will be a teenager on the trip is not convinced so it may be the teen boys will get something different. We will see.

Hi all,
We just booked on this cruise - better late than never! This is the 2nd Disney cruise for our family and we are very excited. My husband and I are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and will be traveling with our two daughters ages 9 and 7. I'm looking forward to reading back through this thread.

Hi again - I would be interested in participating on the FE list. We had so much fun with it on our last cruise (10 day MR, April 2010). I thought I had sent an email to the right address - but it seems to have bounced. Perhaps the FE list is no longer open?

Sorry to be a pest - just so excited that we have decided to take this trip!
Maria

No - you have not missed the FE group.

ATT was so sweet as to mess up my email account when I moved a few months ago. After spending 2 1/2 hours on the phone with them Tuesday night, they were sweet enough to tell me that I have to change my email (I have only had it for YEARS). So, I have (sad face) lost many years of contacts. I will be sending out a NEW list this weekend. There are a few more people who have contacted me thru the Facebook Cruise page.

Please email me at retykemom@YAHOO.COM or kelley.hensley@bossierschools.org. I will need your email address, names and ages of all on the cruise, any celebrations, allergies, and your DIS board name. Oh - and your room number. I am glad to see we have more people starting to join us on the FE fun.

Everybody - When DO we want to stop adding to the list? To me - the more he merrier and everyone should have a chance, but should we maybe keep going till.......the end of May and then close it? Can someone please find out about the cruise meet?

The person that started the thread also started the facebook page. Maybe you can PM her and she can add you? Welcome!:cheer2:
