Disney Fantasy June 20, 2015 Eastern Caribbean

Okay - since this is going to be our official meet thread, I've decided to edit my post to include the information from the other meet thread. IrishCowboy was unable to merge the two and I'm unable to figure out who the moderator is for these boards to make the magic pixiedust: happen - so this seems to be the easiest way. :goodvibes I'll note over there for anyone who might be following that thread to come join us over here :thumbsup2

Hello fellow cruisers!! Can it ever be too early to start a meet group? Well, maybe, but I'm so excited about crusing again next year, I just can't contain myself!!

We moved our cruise from Spring Break 2015 to this date! Can't wait to go back to St. Maarten and St. Thomas and most of all Castaway Cay - best island EVER! This will be our fifth DCL cruise. Yeah, finally going to reach gold status :cool1:. We'll be celebrating our 25th Anniversary (a few weeks early) on this cruise :woohoo:
We are me (Lubi, aka nc_tink), (DH) Brian; (DS) Connor (17, at time of cruise) and (DS) Kieran (15, at time of cruise)

This post will be updated with information about FE Lists, Meets, etc.

Looking for volunteers!

Hi! Actually just started one earlier today, but it hasn't made the "sticky" list yet for 2015. Hopefully moderators will be able to combine the two threads -- please feel free to look at the other thread http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3256400 :thumbsup2

Hi- I am new to all of this. I want to sign up FE and PM Tigger/Pooh4 but have no clue how to do this. Can someone guide me? Thanks for the help in advance.

This will be our first Disney cruise, and we're so excited. I'm traveling with my DH, my DS (almost 8), and my DD (6). I'm interested in participating in the fish extenders - if there will be a group exchanging them, please let me know! Looking forward to the trip!!!

So excited for this cruise. It's our third disney cruise, but this is the longest and first to these ports. I'm interests in FE exchange group, since it's a lp nger cruise I figured we had more time for things like this. I'll be traveling with DH Randy, DS Austin (17), and DD (turns 15 the day we board!) and then my birthday is during the cruise! We are also traveling with my parents, brother and his family, sister and her family. 14 total! What fun we will have! Can't walt, I'm a disney lover!!

MaryCrops - Welcome to our cruise. Since you do not have 10 posts you can not PM Tigger/Pooh4 therefore you can email him at nascar9@aol.com regarding joining the FE.

Hi, this will be the first cruise for me, my DH, and DS(14), celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. We did have some disappointment yesterday - found out our son's 10 year old cousin and his family won't be joining us after all. I'm just wondering if anyone else has done a Disney cruise with an only child? How did it go?

This will be the third DCL cruise for my family! This time, however, we will be joined by my sis-in-law for her first cruise, and my DD's best friend for her first DCL cruise. Five of us total, two staterooms.

We would love to join a fish extender group. How do we go about it?

We cruised with our teenage daughter (only child) three years ago. She spent almost the entire time in the teen area VIBE and made friends that she hung out with the entire cruise. We actually didn't see that much of her, and she had a blast!

Tigger/Pooh4 is organizing the FE. Since you do not have 10 posts yet, you cannot PM him. You can email him at nascar9@aol.com to join the FE group.

Vailsfam, thank you! He's been so disappointed that his cousin isn't coming. I'm hoping he'll make friends on board.

:welcome: aboard murphy121600 and family!!

It's a little slow right now, but I'm sure it'll all pick up as more join and we get closer and closer to the date. :thumbsup2

Hi. Is it to late to join the group? This is my husband's and my third cruise.

Hi there! First time Disney Cruisers and couldn't be more excited!! Traveling will be my Grandma Betty, my mom Sandy, my brother Mikey (20) and myself, Brittany (24). We will be celebrating my moms birthday on the cruise! Hoping to participate in FE, as well. We are all crazy Disney lovers and kids at heart :) Any insider tips are greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone, just got tickets to sail with you all this week! Can't be more excited and just found out today about FE from a friend. Would it be too late to join? I have 2 kids, ages 4 and 8.

Inside Out opens in theaters on June 19....anyone think we will be able to see it while on the ship?

I read this over on MouseSavers....

"There are not many clocks on board. If you don’t normally wear a watch anymore, because you use the clock on your cell phone instead, that won’t work onboard, because your cell phone won’t be functioning unless you are paying through the nose for “cellular at sea” service. There are many scheduled activities offered throughout the day and you will frequently need to know the time. Bring a watch."

I don't think I have ever used my phone while on the ship before but this can't be accurate huh? I know we're going to use the navigator app for texting and such but has anyone had issues with their clocks or alarm clocks (on the phones) not working?

The clock on my cell phone works fine in airplane mode. Where it would be an issue is when you are crossing multiple time zones because the phone needs a connection to recognize that it is in a different location. I would guess that the quote from Mousesavers may be outdated and referencing that if you won't be using your phone to make calls, why would you want to carry it everywhere with you just so you would know the time. That would have been written before the introduction of the DCL app.
