We are going on the Fantasy this fall and have a balcony mid ship on the 7th floor. I was looking at the pictures of the ship and now am wondering are we going to be looking at those ?? Anyone have any pictures of their view from 7th floor balconys mid ship?

The lifeboats are on deck 4 but sort of tucked in & hanging from the ceiling of deck 4 so they can't be seen from above. You will see the deck 5 balconies that extend much further than all the decks above.

I'll dig up some pics. :thumbsup2

Oops! I stand corrected. Perhaps I was thinking of the Magic. :confused3

We were on deck 8 here (starboard aft):

sorry for the weird color, I was having camera issues!

Wait, maybe the 1st pic in the pp was during a drill. After all we were docked in Nassau at the time.

This is what I was thinking of when I said they hang from the ceiling of deck 4. I was beginning to think I was losing my mind. :crazy2:

Magic and Wonder have an uobstructed view straight down to the water but the Dream/Fantasy's lifeboats can be seen from above.

Here is a pic I took from our cabin on Deck 7 on the Dream.

Looking Aft

Looking Forward

And from Deck 9 on the Dream.

These are on the Dream but would be same for the Fantasy.

Doesn't look too bad. The last ship I was on with a balcony we looked straight down (we were close to the front of the ship) and was great to watch when the ship would dock. May not get to see much of that from mid ship from the looks of it. Still, seeing the pictures of that blue water really makes me look forward to getting on that ship!!!!

Just wondering, does anyone have pictures from Deck 10 on the Dream or Fantasy? We'll in staterooms 10152 + 10154..anyone have experience in those rooms or near those rooms? This will be my first cruise.

If you scroll up to the top of this cruise forum, on the pink line where it says staterooms, click there, then click on the Fantasy and scroll down (and/or whatever other hoops you need to jump through) you'll find the following review of 10152:

Sail Date: 06/30/12
Notes: We were assigned this room on a VGT (GTY) rate and were quite pleased with it. With the exception of some minor early morning shuffling from Cabana's buffet directly above, it's a very quiet room. VERY convenient to Cabana's and the pool area's. The balcony is a normal size with the clear plexiglass, however, the view is a little different because of the overhanging structure above and the steel support columns in front of you, but I wouldn't call it an obstructed view. I would be delighted to be assigned this room again.

Love this Picture, it looks like the old Classic Cruise Ships of Yester year. :)

This doesn't seem very Magical for the people on deck 5!!!!

There are lots of people who LOVE deck 5 because they have the larger verandas and no obstruction of the water below. Yes, the "extra" part of the verandah can be seen from above, but they also get the part that is covered and private which is the same as all the verandas on the decks above them!

Our next cruise, we booked 5656 on the Fanstasy and very excited to have this larger verandah. I'm assuming that Disney people don't throw or spit things off their decks. Lol.:scared:

Thank you! I'm still pretty new to the boards, and didn't think to look at that!

Was on deck 7, Fantasy and while you look down to the lifeboats, I never felt like they were in the way.
