Disney Fantasy Caribbean Christmas 2014. Sailing Dec. 20-27, 2014

Just booked this cruise for our family DH, myself, DS 11, & DS 13 when we sail. My in-laws will be joining us as well. I'm excited but a little nervous about cruising over Christmas. Hoping the weather will be nice and crowds manageable. This will be our first time at Castaway Cay.

Looking for ideas on excursions. Will request to join FB group too.

You will have a blast. My son was11the first time we cruised and he had so much fun, I never saw him. I was a little sad but he was really having a good time in the club.

Okay. So excited now. Just booked airfare and ground transfers!!! Non refundable so we are coming no matter what happens lol! I was torn for so long because we are building a new house so money is unpredictable right now but YOLO.

Folks - Was trying to find out dining rotations and schedules for our itinerary but had no luck. But DCL was more than glad to help. So...

Dining Attire:
Day 1 - Cruise Casual
Day 2 - Formal
Day 3 - Cruise Casual
Day 4 - Pirate night
Day 5 - Cruise Casual
Day 6 - Semi Formal
Day 7 - Cruise Casual

Dining Rotations are as follow:
RAERAER
AERAERA
ERAERAE

I was not able to get when the different menus are other than Pirate night nor what other menus would be available.

I am so excited, I have been dying for any info. I can't decide between requesting a dining rotation or taking what they give. I think we would like AP three times but unsure

I requested ERAERAE as the Enchanted Garden looks awesome to me. I prefer the classic AP to the new one I think. The B &W decor was so cool.

OK! Now that our summer trip to Disney is over we can now start to think about the Christmas cruise! I just couldn't wish our summer away but now that we are back, Christmas can't come soon enough!

Just wondering if anyone stays on board the ship while in port? I would imagine that it would seem deserted on port days.

Not staying on board. I have never been to these ports. Just think - concierge has booked port adventures and cabanas already! Anyone score a cabana?

We haven't been on a Disney cruise for about 8 years but love Disney! Can't wait because it's our son's first cruise and will be his first trip to Disney after too. He's 2.5 now so will be just shy of 3. If anyone has tips for the little guys, please share!

On other cruises, we have definitely stayed on board in port, or come back early. it is the best, because you get the pool or other areas mostly to yourself. There's no real relaxing with a toddler, but we'll probably come back for afternoon nap at least two of the days.

It's been 6 years since our 1st Disney Cruise on the Magic.

I am looking forward to a break from cooking and cleaning.

My daughter's third birthday will be Dec 14th so our kids are really close in age. She has been potty trained for about 6 -8 months so we are excited to try the club.

I plan on naps every sea day! Going back to work will be sooo hard.
