You can't choose your waiter before the cruise but you can ask a spanish waiter who can help you to choose your meal

I know Mary is out of items if we add more people to the list, and there are two additional families that requested to participate. Here is what I propose, we keep the list open until Saturday (that is 7 weeks before the cruise), but the people who join after French Tink would do so with the understanding that they might not get something from everyone because they are joining so late in the game. Once Saturday night rolls around, we have a hard close on the list. Is that acceptable to everyone?

I think we decided that today was the last day to join, but anyone signing up after French Tink would be doing so that they might not get something from everyone because some people have already finalized their counts.

You should be able to at least put a request in for a French speaking waiter or asst. waiter. Nothing is guaranteed, but DCL will at least know and may help you out and assign you to one.

Doesn't hurt to ask.

I haven't been on the boards in a few weeks.... and was excited to see that there has been a lot of activity on our cruise thread. Welcome to all the families that have recently joined the thread!

Wow! So many new families joining our thread and cruise - such excitement!

We are on deck two (2 cabins) and we have 4 kids - two teen boys (16 and 17), a just turned 12 year old girl and a 7 year old girl.

Are plans are to do the ruins tour in Costa Maya (one less family on ship), a snorkel excursion with Moby Dick in Grand Cayman, and we are swimming with dolphins in Cozumel and enjoying Chankanaab National Park.

I bought some things for FE, but we still need to make a craft (12 year old insists). I am sure the FE will be fun however it turns out. It is sorta like pot luck meals ("pitch ins" I understand some areas call them). We have these on occasion for church/school/kid sport parties and they always seem to just work. Some how we never end up with all one thing (15 pasta salads anyone?) and plenty for all to enjoy.

Hi everyone! We are really getting excited for the cruise now! We also have a daughter that just turned 12 and one that will be 14 at the end of September.

We are doing a Moby Dick Tour as well. Our scheduled time is at 12:00pm. Three years ago, we swam with the dolphins at Chankanaab. It was awesome! I think we are just doing a beach day in Cozumel this time and walking around the port in Costa Maya.

If he's given the ok, guest services will activate his KTTW card so that he can access the "Edge" floor via elevator. (Yes, it's accessible by stairs but that extra privilege is a big deal to him...)

What grades are your boys in? Mine is going into 6th.

I am also traveling with an 11 year old boy who is going into 6th grade. On our last DCL cruise, he didn't want to go into the kids club at all, so I am hoping that meeting some new boys his age will help.

Although he is not into sports, he loves video games and technology.

Getting excited more every day as the cruise gets closer. Looks like the ship still has lots of empty cabins. This is our 4th Disney cruise... cruise way back in the day with the BIG RED BOAT but Disney doesn't count that even though it was a Disney cruise. We have traveled on the Magic and Wonder and are looking forward to seeing the brand new ship Fantasy. We are a party of 11 - our first big family cruise. We are traveling with:

Katie who will turn 11 3 weeks after the cruise
Jake who is 7
Justin will turn 6 3 weeks after the cruise
Brooke who is 5
Ethan who is 4

The little ones will do great in the kids club but hoping Katie will meet some girls her age to hang around with. She is going in the Edge but if she doesn't meet anyone she will be in the kids club with her brothers and cousins. Looking forward to the FE exchange. We are gathering items from SF to share with the list and making some other gifts. Lots of fun. Since it is my son and daughter in laws first Disney cruise I am working on their FE. I will have fun just sitting out by the pool relaxing - can't wait to sail
