Welcome aboard gmayers, DVCMan15, and TonytheWop!
Only 73 days to set sail, so it is probably just about time to finalize the Fish Extender (FE) List. If any of you three would like to participate, please let us know and we will add you to the list.
Thank you for the welcome!
Unfortunately, we won't have time to prepare for the FE with our busy work and activity schedule but, thanks for the invite.
I have never cruised DCL before but have sailed other lines.
Are you guys having a meet & mingle on the ship?
Welcome Tony!! I'm so glad your DS is well now. Have you cruised DCL before or was that ill-fated trip on the Magic going to be your first?
I agree, the Fantasy looks simply stunning and I can't WAIT to see her.
FYI, I e-mailed and asked for a specific dining rotation and this was their response.
Dear Tonya,
Thank you for choosing a Disney Cruise Line vacation!
I would be happy to assist you.
We are unable to provide your family with your dining schedule as it is
finalized the day of sailing. You will find your dining tickets with
your seating times, table assignment, and rotation schedule in your
stateroom on embarkation day.
I have noted your dining request on your reservation. Please be assured
that our dining specialists will do their utmost to accommodate your
family.
Each evening Guests are invited to enjoy a totally different dining
experience at each of the three uniquely themed restaurants.
You and your family will "rotate" from one dining room to the next,
along with your service team, so all can be assured that night after
night you receive the same impeccable Disney service. All Guests are
assigned to a specific table location for the entire length of the
cruise.
I hope this information has been helpful. If you require further
assistance in planning your visit, please feel free to contact us.
Tonya, we look forward to sailing with you and your family!
Have a Magical Day!
I guess it will be pending on who our servers will be and the location of your Stateroom. Their response was very polite and cheery. That always makes me feel comfortable asking for things and accepting their answers.
While I'm not a super-experienced cruiser (been on 3), I do specialize in taking lots of vacations (with kids)![]()
so I feel I'm pretty prepared most of the time. The most important thing I do is make my list so I can check it off as I pack because so many times I forget the little stuff that makes life easier. Packing is also individual for each so what's good for me may not be good for others. I do plan on doing laundry so will only be packing for 3 days worth of clothing (in addition to formal wear). I usually bring a black pair of pants with a couple of fancy tops to wear for the formal nights instead of fancy dresses. I just got back from a 6 day trip to Disney and stayed in a DVC studio so I'll probably pack the same because we did laundry there as well.
In addition to the clothes, the "kind of" not so common and common stuff I always pack to make life easier is:
1. Bonine (for sea sickness - they sell for children also). I start taking on the departure day).
2. Goggles for kids
3. night light for bathroom
4. laundry soap (probably pods - Arm and Hammer ones because they're powder and won't explode or leak in luggage) and dryer sheets.
5. crocs/flip flops for kids
6. suntan lotion/spray
7. liquid hand soap (not crazy about everyone using the bar to wash hands).
8. Beach bag for excursions
9. Snacks for plane/port for kids
10. plastic BPA free bottles for filling for excursions or wherever (that have tops that can fit ice through). I also bring neoprene holders to keep cold (they're not insulated).
11. Pirate stuff for the pirate night (pirate shirt, eye patch, bandana, etc...)
Anyway - just a few things I always take.
Some people say they like to bring power strips (to charge multiple things at once), mp3 players and extra batteries
Here's a list I found online as well: http://mommysecrets.blogspot.com/2009/03/disney-cruise-packing-list.html

can you give me it?.
Thank you very much![]()
thank you Tonya!Hi, I went to the Disney Cruise Line Web site and clicked on contact at the bottom. They give you a list on where you can direct your question. I chose Disney Cruise Line.
I am sure they will meet your request and might have already done that since you are from Spain.![]()
The Codys are booked and can't wait for our first Disney Cruise ever. We used to live in Orange County and spent a lot of time in Anaheim CA. We have since moved to the PNW where anything Disney is a 2 hour plan ride.
We are bringing Three Princesses
Paige (9), Peyton (7), Kennedy (6) and Skip(??) and Jennifer (??)
We would love to get on the FE list. How do we go about doing that? This is new to us but we are all in.
Cant wait to meet you all in Florida

Great idea about the liquid hand soap! Love it!
Forgive me if I'm repeating something that was already listed but this is at the top of my list... I like to pack some clothespins for hanging wet swimsuits up to dry (on the retractable clothesline in the bathroom).
FYI - Disney is raising ticket prices effective on Sunday. You can buy tickets today and tomorrow at the old prices and they will still be good if you are going down before or after our cruise.
We are so super excited. Yes we have signed up for a few excursions only one through the cruise though. Here is our line-up
1. Moby Dick Tours to Stingray City (Non Disney) when at the Cayman
2. The Amazing Secret River when in Cozumel (Through Disney)
3. Chacchoben Mayan Ruins (The Native Choice Non Disney) when at Costa Maya
