just wanted to add a ticker now need to add one for the cruise as well!

Hello Cinderella-Mom!

My daughter Jillian will be 12 at the time of the cruise, and is nervous about being the only kid in our group (8kids total from 3 families) too old for Oceaneers lab/club. I'll have to let her know that there will be at least one other girl around her age on the cruise!

Other people have asked about our recent Dream trip- it was on the 2/20 4 night (president's week, so it was a full ship) and we had a GREAT time. We NEVER felt overwhemled by crowds- if something seemed too crowded we found somewhere else to be. Our kids swam in the pools, We rode the Auqua duck several times, we saw all of the shows, we used the kids clubs, we were just flexible about avoiding the the really crowded times and areas of the ship. We had several occasions onboard where we were totally alone with noone else around! One night our friends daughter danced with Chip and Dale for about 20 minutes without any other kids around. My husband and I lounged on Deck 4 on thick padded loungechairs overlooking the ocean without another person in sight for about an hour on sea day (my favorite place on the ship).

The food was great (I know that that's subjective), the ship is BEAUTIFUL. The CM's were wonderful- they couldn't always get done what we were requesting- but they gave it an effort and were super nice about it (ie we wanted to change our dining rotation so that we could be in animators palate for my son's b-day. To do that we would have had to change to late dining which we didn't want- but they tried). The kids club was CRAZY OVERWHELMING MAYHEM on the first open house night, but the CM's explained that it wouldn't be like that the whole cruise, and they were right. Once the parents left and kids starting doing more organized activities it was perfect.

Overall it was the best, easiest family vacation we have ever taken and we can't wait to go again.

thanks for sharing the info on your dream criuse mdinowitz! Sounds awesome! PrincessBelle just noticed you are travelling from a long way away, on our last cruise we also had some dissers from australia. Also want to send out a thank you to dvc chris for taking on the tasks of the meet list and other things that may be happening on this cruise! By the way if you are to relpy to anything concerning any of my posts my name is Leslie just makes it easier to remember then the disname and shorter to type!:thumbsup2

Welcome aboard cinderella_mom, we are happy to have you! You are lucky living so close to DL. My usual Disney vacation spot is WDW, and have been there more times than I can count, but I was in DL for two days before my Mexican Riviera cruise in February, and forgot how much I enjoy it (the last time I had been there was in 2004). Although, being on the Canal Boats when it started to hail was less enjoyable.:scared1:

So far we are up to 8 families on this cruise, and it is 16 months (and one day) away!

Wow, our little group is growning. 8 families.
Boundfordisney - yes it is a long way to travel but soooo worth it. We don't really go anywhere else now (although DH would like to try somewhere different). On our last cruise there were 6 Australian families but none that were Disers that I know of.

We are so excited to be joining all of you for this cruise - our first on DCL! We are: me (Jen), DH Ray, DS 7 Ethan (will be this age at cruise time), and DS 5 Zachary. My sister Melissa will also be going.

We've booked two family ocean view rooms on deck 8 to share amongst the 5 of us.

I've only recently (the past two years) become a Disney fanatic! We took the kids to Disney World two years ago and are hooked. We're just coming to the end of our annual passes for this year (we've gone 3x in the past year!) and knew we wanted to "branch" out. We've only cruised twice before on Celebrity and heard such great things about DCL that we had to book once we heard about the Dream and the Fantasy.

Looking forward to using the kids club as well - I think our kids will really like them.

Welcome aboard Jen! Glad to have you sailing with us.

I have added you to our cruise list, and your family brings us up to 9! Only 69 weeks from tomorrow until we set sail.

Before we know it, we'll be down to 69 DAYS. :rotfl2:

Welcome to our group Jen! 9 families now. :yay:

I've had some brainstorming  over the past week or so for a homemade FE gift. Now to try to implement it. :rolleyes1 I guess now would be a good time to say that I'm not an amazingly crafty person so I'm sure I'll need the whole 69 weeks to get this together.

Im not a crafty person either but I did make some mickey ears for the cabin door for everyone that was on the fe list on our last cruise, even gave out some to people that had passed by our cabin and asked what the fe bag was for and where I got all the door decorations. They all seemed to think the fe exchange was a fun idea and were going to check out the disboards once they arrived home from the cruise.:thumbsup2

I'm not crafty either although I would like to be. I've been googling FE ideas myself this last week and have come up with something. Not sure how I'll go but I've got 69 weeks to work on it too. :yay: We will see how I go. I hope that I'm not out shopping for something to replace it the week before we go. :scared1:

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2
