Disney Fantasy, August 18, 2012 - Western Caribbean

WOW Lola what a beautiful city you live in! thanks for sending the link, looks like a place I would love to visit someday! The cabanas are little huts so to speak on castaway cay. They have a small fridge in them which disney supplies your water and snacks and some fruit as well. Lounge chairs and a little bit of your own private beach, in the huts I think there are overhead fans as well. You may find some photos of them here on the disboards and on disneys website, yes the mayan ruins would be great to see , we hadnt done that on the western cruise we took in 2009, got me thinking that maybe thats 1 excursion that would really be worth doing this time around. Have you travelled alot? I would love to travell in europe and have looked into doing some river cruises from Germany to Budapest, its just I keep booking vacations with disney then dont get to do other things but Im looking to maybe in 2013 at possibly doing the river cruise and seeing a little bit of europe. So much history in Europe! So tell me a little more about your life there in that beautiful city I love to learn more about different countries and way of life!:thumbsup2:surfweb:

Hola!!!!

cartagena is a very old city. founded by the Iberians and conquered by the Romans. so we have many sites the city with a city romanos.es some cruise ships dock. people like the rich history city.250,000 people are living here.

Spain is very rich in culture and history. is precious. has so much to see and discover.;)
In spain we live well, we are very fun and we like being with friends. there are many beautiful cities to visit.santiago de compostela(Galicia,in the north),Madrid(the capital), Barcelona(the city most european of Spain) y a lot of more.
My house is your house.:grouphug:
Whatever you need it, here I am ...
This year is in Europe the disney wonder.the boat is on tour in Europe. it would have been lovely ...

I love traveling. I love Europe(france, england,Italia,germany........) and the U.S.I've been in NY, Boston, Washington, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Orlando (twice, it's my weakness) and I want to know more.:woohoo:

I understand the cabanas.pero think it's very expensive to rent. is not it?
How much money an hour? Should we pay other than what I used to drink and eat?. is a good idea to protect from sun and heat, but it is very expensive, I'm afraid I can not be ....:sad2:
Bye!!! see you soon!!!!!!!!

Hi Lola. Spain sounds like a very interesting country perhaps someday I will get to see a little of it! So you like to travell you should come and see a little of Canada someday, I live about 40 minuites away from Niagra Falls most people are aware of the Falls, Hamilton is between Toronto and the falls. I am still debating about the cabanas as yes they are costly but if I dont do to many excursions then I figure I would splurge on one, at least I have lots of time still to make up my mind! Im looking forward to my trip in September to disney with my sister and a co worker . got all my dining reservations made and we are going to mickeys not so scary halloween party so we should have lots of fun! Do you celebrate Halloween in Spain? Next to christmas its my next favorite holiday! Not sure if you mentioned where you are staying before the cruise are you staying at a disney resort? Have you stayed onsite before? Wonder where everyone else is? Well we will be able to get to know each other pretty well by the time we cruise. :thumbsup2

hi again !!!!!
I spend a few days at WDW and would like to stay at the POP century.:thumbsup2
after cruise.around six or seven days.;)
last year when we were in Boston we wanted to go to the falls
I wanted to see the falls from the side of canada.but it was impossible.no time:confused3.and very expensive.one day 800$ two persons.:scared1:( by plane)
this year I thought to tour the east coast of canada but my husband said no.
this year to rest:headache:

We know halloween.but in Spain is not followed. only by children and young people.:grouphug:
I would love spend a christmas in WDW,but i have not vacation this month.

bye!!!!!!!

Hi all,

Sorry I have not been around much this past week, but I was busy bringing the newest passenger for this cruise into the world, my daughter, Alexandra Suzanne, was born at 3:03 am on Saturday morning. She and my DW are both happy and healthy.

Also wanted to let people know, only 400 days to go until our cruise!:cool1:

Congrats to you and your wife on the birth of your little princess! How excitingprincess::yay::love::cloud9: Cant wait to see the little bundle of joy on the cruise meet, Im looking forward to meeting you and your family of 3 now!:thumbsup2

Lola, you really have gotten the chance to do quite a bit of travelling, well you should come to Canada some time in the future and if you come this way Id be happy to show you around! We are now 399 days till we cruise . thanks to dvc chris who keeps us all up to date on the countdown. so looking forward to August when we can say its the 1 year mark, I know its still a long way off but really when it comes down to the 1 year mark Im sure that the time will fly by!Ive deceided that once August comes around I will start to put together some things for the fe as my last cruise I waited till the last moment then was in a bit of a panic trying to bring it all together, not this tiome around, Im gonna be well prepared! Thats my story and Im stickin to it LOL:rotfl2::rotfl::thumbsup2

Congratulations DVC_Chris. Glad to hear all are well and have to say, love the name. :woohoo:

Looks like our plans for our trip are changing a little. We were going back to WDW following the cruise for 6 nights but now we are going to NYC. The Australian Masterchef have been visiting so now DH and DD(Megan) want to go there. Mum loves the idea too so I'm giving in. I know I will enjoy it also, in fact I'm quite looking forward to it. Now we have to plan. I don't know a lot about the city apart from the obvious so we need to look for a hotel etc. Its all a bit overwhelming really, but I do enjoy the planning.

We have just finished 2 weeks school holidays. The kids go back to school tomorrow. I'm disappointed its over. Its gone really quickly. We did heaps. Visited the snow, went to the movies, went swimming. We had planned on going horse riding most days but it rained a lot and was really cold so we didn't get much opportunity for that. Next holidays should be better as they get two weeks off in spring. Back into the routine now though. Basketball, ballet, cheerleading, swimming, drama etc. I love having the school holiday breaks from these things.

Thanks for the congratulations everyone. She is starting to get into a routine, and will go back to sleep at night after feeding, so we are both pretty happy with that :)

I live right outside NYC (it is about a 30 minute train ride), and go in a few times a year. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I am planning the time after my cruise, I am thinking a few nights at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge, it is one of my favorite resorts and have not stayed there in a while due to the newness of Bay Lake Towers. I would like to also try to sneak a trip in to Vero Beach, but will have to see what DW says about that.

Hi Lola a fish extender or fe as we call it is sort of like a little bag that hangs on the fish hook that is just outside each cabin door, the fish hook was put there for when disney has any mail to leave for guests, but dissers use it to hang the fe. The fe is used to put little gifts in sort of like a secret santa. whomever joins up for this say there is 30 who join, then each person would buy a little gift for each cabin of the 30 and put it in the fe.The gifts can be 1 for each cabin or can be a little gift for each person in the cabin . its totally up to each person what they want to give. The gifts can be anything for example this is some things I have given or recieved in the fe' postcards of where you are from. pirate patches or other pirate stuff for pirate night on the ship, magnets for your cabin door, highliters ,pens pencils. stickers for kids really just about anything ! I gave mickey magnet ears for the cabin doors last cruise little fancy purses for girls boys I gave pirate tatoos and some Candies. There is a thread on fe some where her on the board which has pictures and more about them that you can check out, I will try and find my picture of my fe which you can buy online or just make your own which is what I did, the bag has little pockets on them to hold the stuff in almost like a shoe bag you would hang over a door is what it looks like. I will post my picture or go to photobucket.com and put my name in to see my pictures . If you are on facebook I have some there to just send me your email address and i will send you mine and we can add each other as freinds, just pm me if you would like to do this , Hope this helps talk soon Leslie:thumbsup2

Congrats to you and your family!! What a lovely name, too: Princess Alexandra princess: Glad to hear that mom and baby are doing well and that you all are getting some sleep at night - that's quite the blessing.

I was just in NYC last week. Went to the Empire State Bldg as well as Top of the Rock - maybe your house was in the very distant view of LI?
