Mine too!!! Last summer on the Alaska cruise she didn't know anyone and it took her a few more days but she loved it. She actually really liked Tiffany the worker in the kid's area.

Is this your first cruise? Would love to meet up with the girls, maybe by the pool?

I think the FE is closed. So sorry!!

I can't remember who but people were asking about plans everyone has. Here ours.

Grand Caymen : Booked on our own going on a family scuba, beach, and snorkel family time
Costa Maya: Unsure. We have chairs booked at a local beach, but might just stay on the boat.
Cozumel: Booked on our own. Headed to Chankanabb National Park to snorkel, relax and swim with the Dolphins
On the boat we have Remy and Palo booked.

BIG UNSURE:
what are we going to do the day we get back. Our flight doesn't leave until 7:30. Trying to find a close resort to book a day room or head to WDW water park. Unsure and open to ideas.

It is very simple, DVC Chris has posted the list of who is particpating in the FE. At some point during the cruise, who ever is listed will drop a "gift" off at your cabin and as you will drop a "gift" off at everyone on the list. You can either do a gift per person or 1 gift per cabin, it is up to you. Also you can make something or you can buy something, again it is up to you.

I purchased my FE pocket off of ebay, she did an amazing job I also have seen the FE pockets on the website etsy.com . you can buy any pocket organizer to hang outside your stateroom door. I hope this helps and if you have any more questions, please ask.

Chris, do you have the final count? Are we closed? I bought a lot so I am game for what ever you want to do. I figured more people sign up close to the cruise as you can get good deals to fill the ship up. Let me know so I can either stop making my gift or continue making them.

I did I mention that I think I need more suite cases. I am just happy my mother in law and I were the same size shoe So I will decieded my outfits to match her shoes so I don't have to bring them in my suitcase!!! LOL> Love you Grammy!!!! (i know she will read this!!)

This is what the 5 of us are doing (me, DH, DS5 and DS7, and my sister (43)):
Grand Cayman - booked stingray and snorkeling tour direct with Captain Marvins
Costa Maya - staying on the ship and enjoying an empty (hopefully!) aquaduck
Cozumel - booked a snorkeling trip direct with Two D's Diving and Tour Adventures (over 100 awesome reviews on trip advisor) that we'll all go on (Disney doesn't let you book snorkeling for kids under 8). My husband and I were originally going to do a scuba trip but I've run into some trouble with my ears causing vertigo so I'm sticking with snorkeling. If anyone is interested, we were originally booked with Alison Dennis - alison@scubawithalison.com - she came highly recommended by people on these forums as well as trip advisor, cruise critic, etc....

We're going to Disney for the week following the cruise - checking into a DVC studio at Boardwalk Villas - I figure we'll already be down there and kids don't start school until 9/5...... why not?

Here is what I propose, we keep the list open until Saturday (that is 7 weeks before the cruise), but the people who join after French Tink would do so with the understanding that they might not get something from everyone because they are joining so late in the game. Once Saturday night rolls around, we have a hard close on the list. Is that acceptable to everyone?

Yes, let's definately meet up!! Our Stateroom is 8084. I would love for my daughter to make a friend her own age to run around with.

No worries about the FE thing being closed. We are fine with it.

I can't believe the cruise is only 8 weeks away!!! SO excited!!

Hi Chris,

If you guys would add our family, I would completely understand that we might not get from everyone. I have never done the FE before and had no idea what I had to do to sign up and such. We already have our FE and our gifts, so even if we can't be added, we are fine just sharing!

Also, if someone can explain how the group works, I would REALLY appreciate it. I know about FE and gifts, but past that, I am not really sure.

Also, I have my niece and nephew going who will be a few cabins down from mine(will have to get the cabin number from my brother). I would rather not have my husband and I receive anything in our FE Pockets, if it means the kids would get. I would rather just our daughter in our cabin and my niece and nephew in theirs. So, if I can get their cabin number and add them as well, that will be fantastic. Both cabins will have gifts to give out!

I see many of you are not doing anything on th is island and I laugh because we are not either. We plan on staying on the boat or if there are port shops, might get off and explore there, So the boat might not be so quiet, LOL

This won't help those of us who are doing a per stateroom and not per person gift.

I don't want to be the cause of any drama. Chris, just pull me off the FE. I can mail back what I had ordered as I haven't started making my item yet. I'm sure that not participating in the FE will NOT affect my overall first cruise enjoyment in the slightest!

Ok, I don't say much - but MARY - please stay - it is so fun and one of my highlights for the cruise...I am in the same boat as you are - however for those with kids that get added on - I will stop at the $$$ store and get them a little something....So please stay - it really is fun! I don't think anyone is or will be upset - they understand they were added late - so stick with what you have and do the ones you can! Please - dont miss this fun activity!!!
