Disney Fantasy - 7 night - Western Caribbean - 20 August 2016

Right around 160 days until we sail!:yay: Thanks Jersbit for volunteering to set up the Fish Extender Exchange for this cruise. We are looking forward to participating and also meeting everyone. I have 2 teen girls that would love to get to know some of the other teens on this board. It's a nice way for them to break the ice before they go to the Vibe. PM me if interested and I will try to get the ball rolling!
Hi Kaizen,
My daughter will be 16 years old cruise time and will be going to the vibe. She is already talking to one of the other teen girls in this group. Once you have 10 post we can send a private message about this if you are interested. It is definately a nice way to break the ice.

So we are cruise veterans but this is our first cruise with a little. Are there any "must" dos with a one year old?

I have almost 400 posts so you can PM me any time :flower:

Chris and Dave, thanks for your pointers. I have to admit that I love researching holidays so it's good advice. We are particularly excited about visiting Castaway Cay because it will be our first visit and everyone speaks so highly about it. I've personally always wanted to visit one of the ancient sites in Mexico so Tulum is at the top of my list. I'll also be looking out for things to engage my teenagers (17 and 15) so ideas welcome.
Hi Dave,
I have been doing a lot of research about Tulum and have concluded that if that is the only thing that you want to do once off the boat then you should have enough time. If you want to combine it with something else, forget it. We wanted to do Tulum and then swim in the Aktun Chen Cenote but once I talked with a private tour guide, discovered it has to be one or the other. The problem lies with tendering. The boat starts tendering around 7:30 and the first ferry over to Tulum would be at 8, which, in all reality, is very unlikely that you will make. The next ferry is at 9. It takes about 1+ hours to get to the ruins, about 1/2-2 hours there and then another 1+ hours to get back to Cozumel. I was looking at going to Palancar Beach to snorkel, then having an authentic Mexican lunch and doing some shopping close to the port and not trying to rush around all day.

Great welcome!! All I need is everyone's first name. Room number. And ages for 18 and under.

Thanks for agreeing to set up FE!
My family will be in cabin 12008.
Lisa - celebrating my 40th bday
My mother, Diane

I believe Siena is already a part of the group. She mentioned that there about 6 or 7 girls and actually mentioned Julie as the name of one young lady she's been chatting with. She's very excited. Thanks!

Hi all, for those who aren't watching the first post in this thread, I've updated it with a list of ports, arrival times, departure times and links to the Disney page for that port, as well as the names of those who have joined this thread since my last update.

If anyone has any other useful reference information then let me know and I will add it to the first post in the thread.

We would love to be part of the FE. Our names are Allison, Rickie, Deaven (16) and Alleigh (12). We are in cabin 6672. Both of my girls are interesting in chatting with other girls their age prior to the cruise. Please PM me if you have daughters interested in chatting.

Hi, I finally got one of our stateroom numbers, 8648. The Andrea clan (Jim and Lynn, Carol, Jenessa, Jay, Jorgina) is very excited! Carol had been on a cruise before, but it is her first big trip after losing her husband to Alzheimers this past holiday season. She is Jim's mom (the Jim of Jim and Lynn). Jim and Lynn are dentists in Minnesota with 4 kids, a dog, and a hedgehog. Their youngest, Jorgina, graduates this year from high school and the trip is to celebrate.

Stateroom 10588 - Kraft -Swierczek Family. Kevin (41), Kasia (35), Joah (8), Avi (5), Sebastian (5). This will be the 5th cruise. 4th Fish Extender. I have seen a Facebook page used each time, it's easier to manage with sending out data and lists and get more participation. I could offer to help - send me a private email to kswierczek@mac.com.
