Hi everyone, I've been MIA for several months. I'm back now

Some medical problems I had to deal with. I have renal failure & was having tons of tests to be put on the Kidney transplant list. One test ended up putting me in the hospital for a week with high calcium levels. This damaged the kidneys more. Late August the Kidney Dr stated I needed Dailysis soon. I was headed for Disney September 17th & this wasn't in my plans. Surgery was in October 2 days after I got home. I started Dailysis October 15th. Left for a 15 night cruise, home 4 days & was in the hospital with pneumonia for a week. Recovered for a week & left for Disney on December 9th for a week. Ended the year & started the new year back in the hospital for 3 days. Life is good. I'm now on the Kidney transplant list. It could take 4-5 years to get a Kidney.

A New Year time to start thinking about this cruise. So excited can't wait to meet everyone.

I tried to correct Fantasy no luck . I'm the worst speller. I never noticed it

Sadly, my party of five is becoming a party of two. My daughter, son in law and grandson have to cancel. But, DH and I will be there with bells on! I was thinking the other day, it would really be nice to be able to recognize everyone from the DIS. I am up for the lanyard idea, but maybe if we posted our pictures on here as a visual too? There's not a rule against that, I hope. I will look around after I get home from work today and post one

So sorry to hear about your health problems Queen2! Praying you feel better soon and that if a transplant is what is needed, that you won't have to wait long.
Looking forward to this cruise- already thinking about FE's. I was looking at the list of partipants and realized I have to think completely differently than how I was thinking before- very few kids on the list as of now. I'll have to come up with something different for the couples and adults joining in on the fun. . . . .brainstorming (and then thinking it'll be fun to do something a bit more personal for the kiddos, since there are so few of them).
This cruise is a family gift- we asked our kids last year if for 2013 their gift from Mom and Dad for their birthdays could be the cruise. They of course yelped YES without hesitation. So our oldest, whose birthday was just last week, got a gift card from us (souvineer money) and gave no complaints. I was a bit worried about that, but he's just about as excited as we are about the cruise!!

Hello again - I have finally had the time to read through all the posts and we are really getting excited. My daughter received a Disney cabin bag for her birthday during the week and I think the kids have realised that we really are going to Disney. We are trying to organise the rest of the trip - so far have only booked the cruise and a weeks accomm at WDW the week before the cruise. Have found the link to the facebook page and requested to join. My mum is hoping to be able to join us but all will depend how her back operation goes next month- oh well back to cruising the net for Disney tips etc - hoping to make this trip as fun and easy as possible ...Jill

This will be our 4th cruise on DCL. My 10th cruise overall and DH 5th. No kids this time. Both will be in college by then and we'll be having a serious case of empty nest syndrome.

We will be wanting to participate in the FE exchange and I can't wait to print out my magnets.
