Disney Fairy Tale Wedding Official Information

OK, I am not planning on having my fairy tale wedding until Oct 2010, but I am getting impatient and want to start the planning/dreaming now! (so exciting )

I was wondering if anyone had any docs (powerpoints, etc.) that they received from Disney to help them plan their wedding that they wouldn't mind sharing.

Just in case you're wondering, I am most likely planning an Escape wedding due to the fact that I will just have a handful of people there. But, that doesn't mean I don't want to go all out! And, if I've read right, Escape brides can pretty much get anything they want for a fee (except exotic ceremony locations).

If you go to the Podcast forum and look for the sticky which has the index of all the episodes from the podcast, Julie (one of the hosts) did a very long series concerning Weddings at Disney. You will find lots of information just by listening.

Look at the last stickey on page one for the index.

Once you know what episodes you are looking for (they are spread out over a few different podcasts) just click on the link at the top of the page that says Podcast Home Page or something like that then look for archives (near the bottom I believe)

Now if you have never heard the Dis Unplugged podcast a bit of background…

Pete the host is the owner of these boards (Dis Boards), co-owner of Dreams Unlimited Travel, which sponsors these boards and a wonderful guy. Those at the roundtable with him all work with him in one capacity or another. It usually takes a few episodes to “get the crew” and their humor. It really does seem like you are sitting at the table on a Saturday afternoon with a bunch of friends.

Oh, if you have an Ipod you can subscribe to the podcast and it you can get it from Itunes as well.

I had my first phone call with DFTW a couple of weeks ago and I was sent some basic info. If u want to PM me ur address, I can forward them to u? Personally I didn't find them very helpful as I've been living on this site reading everyone else's posts so I kinda felt like I knew it already.

The Podcast dates you want for the Weddings segments are

However, they basically just read the info that is available on the Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings web site and its Wish Book, and some of it is out-of date.

So if you can't access the podcast, you can get the same info by logging on to Disney's site and poking around in the Wish Book (there's one for each type of wedding - Escape, Wishes, and Cruise Line).
