Disney Erased All my FP+ and Won't Reinstate Them

So sorry OP hope they make things right for you.

This is why I never trust anything somebody tells me on the phone until I check and verify it myself. I work in IT and I never trust anything to work correctly. It is crazy how many systems are like magic boxes. Stuff goes in and stuff comes out and nobody knows what the heck happens inside the thing so they can't fix it. If you get to the right person sometimes they can fix it in two seconds. The hard part is to get to that person. They are incredibly valuable so are protected from the general public.

Not that this helps you any now.

So sorry for your problem, OP. I am always leery of making last minute changes just because of things like this. When I made my Christmas Day plans I was almost afraid to breathe for fear a computer glitch would mess them up. However, I truly doubt the person you spoke with over the phone to make the original change realized that the change they were making would affect your FP+.

I hope they are able to help you. I agree that I would give "changing" the FP+ a try to see if they come up as changeable.

We had fastpasses for Anna and Elsa booked for Saturday July 26. When I was looking at all our stuff the other day to write it all down they are no longer showing up.. Instead it shows enchanted tales with belle in its place. Not sure how or why that happeded. Or if anything can be done to fix it

Urgh, it all goes back to awful information you got when you wanted to make the change. Going from room only to a package (which is what you do when you add dining) does change everything. Your reservation number changes. You should have been told that. I was when I booked my room only and added tickets. I was told that I could not add dining later without loosing everything. The CM made sure I knew what I was in for when I opted not to get dining. You should have been informed the opposite when you wanted to add it.

I hope you can get resolution that works for you and hopefully the CMs will learn the proper information to give out. I've worked on phone rooms before. We had software that gave us all our information on our computer screen. Everyone worked from the same information and there was no excuse for CS rep A having different info than CS rep B. Both reps read the same screen. I can't imagine why Disney doesn't have a similar process

That's horrid service.

I took some for my buddy lat spring when he was going (really just so he had the schedule)-doesn't look like I captured enough info for "proof"-missed the trip info just have the dates. Maybe there was a better shot avail-could just use the camera on my phone I guess.

Also doesn't show its for 10 people either.

Certainly they must be working on some kind of back up for folks I would hope.

What a nightmare! So very sorry! This has me afraid to add the park hopper to our tickets when we get there! Does anyone know if it's likely to similarly screw things up???

Keep calling the IT dept and don't get the off the phone until you get some sort of resolution.

What if we have a room only DVC reservation and add the dining plan, does that change the reservation which would make us lose all of our fast passes?

Thanks for this info. This is very useful. It also proves once again that the Dining Plan is the root of all evil!!

This is really the issue. Everyone is very quick to blame MDE, FP+ etc. The reality is, everything "worked" the way it was supposed to. The OP just got bad info, or didn't understand.

Oh the OP understood just fine, she understood what she was told, which was that everything tied to her reservation would not be touched. I do blame Disney and MDE, because there is no way adding a dining plan should have to change your reservation and wipe out information.

This thread has inspired me to screen shot all my FPs and ADRs just in case.

Be prepared for Disney to not accept screenshots for Mine Train or Anna & Elsa. Those seem to be the two attractions Disney is the least likely to work with you on.

Let's assume for the sake of argument that the OP didn't misunderstand and that this was not their error. That leaves us with: "Everything worked the way it was supposed to, and the OP got bad information." System failure and information failure are synonymous if they lead to the same result. A system is only as good as the implementor's ability to implement it.
