Disney Employee Faces 200 Counts Of Possessing Child Porn

Very glad he's been caught, but why does the headline have to announce that he works for Disney? I assume they want to make the child/Disney connection, but how would the Disney Company be aware of this pervert's hobby? That nonsense always frustrates the hell out of me. If he worked for, let's say, Target, do you think the headline would read "Target Employee Faces 200 Counts...."? Of course not. :headache:

And they really had to dig hard to find it; this has been about ten days ago and they are posting it now. It is just as a couple of weeks ago WFTV was the only news source to say anything about where an impaired driver ran into a bus on WDW property and there were minor injuries to a few passengers.

:confused3 HONESTLY!!! GEEZ!

It really irks me how the moment something negative happens with anyone or anything associated with Disney the media jump all over it throwing the name Disney out there as the first word in the headline.

Any other company would most likely not even be mentioned in the headline with only a possible mention embedded somewhere in the story of where the person works.

"Disney employee faces 200 counts of possessing child porn" for any other company it would be "Orlando man faces 200 counts of possessing child porn"

Anyway im glad the guy got caught, its one less lowlife on the streets that we need to be concerned with.

he down loaded 5000 pics because he was BOARD! some one buy that guy a TV or a 500 pice puzzle.

why does every crimal have an excuse. Can any one take ownership of there falts now a days?

Because its a local station (the ones in Chicago have mentioned local businesses as well), and their hack local journalists.

Don't agree with the Disney thing at all. We have had people get busted with stuff at Wal-Mart, Mc Donalds, and so on all around our area and it always encompasses the name of the place they worked in the headline most of the time. So its not a Disney thing...

Wal-Mart Employee Caught Stealing

Just one example of a news headline we have had...

Well if he was caught stealing from Walmart that makes sense.

However...

A quick google search revealed that among the stories that listed Child Porn and Employee as key words...

Disney and related stories with their employees were first.

After that it was employees of a few cities, towns, public agencies, county clerks, a would be sherriff's deputy,a 911 call center employee, a YMCA employee and in one story "Child Porn found on Work Laptop" about a Motorola employee.

Most of those stories had a connection where the offending material(s) were found in the computers at the workplace.

I could find no other instance of stories that indicated where the person worked in the headline.

So it appears Disney is singled out - as perhaps they should be.

But when the employee worked back stage (as in this case) with no guest contact - it hardly seems relevant and seems more like yellow-journalism at its worst.
