My husband has been out of a job for almost a year. He was laid off from a world wide corporation. He was in charge if the running and maintance of hundreds of computers. He was trusted to order millions of dollars of computers, software, and everything that goes along with keeping a computer running.
Almost 1 month after we came home from our august2009 Disney trip. My husband came into my work and broke the bad news to me that that morning he has lost his job:scared1:. Now almost 1 year later, we are strugling along, with no job prospects:confused3.
I'm just wondering if anyone has any info on sending a resme to Disney. I know that I am grasping at straws, and I know that there are tons of people out there just like us, but there maybe some kind of Disney Job Magic out there somewhere too:wizard:. Thanks for your help.

So sorry for your husband and your family. I hope something wonderful comes along soon.
Like PP indicated, there's a Disney career site where you must apply to a specific job. They (like most companies) won't accept a resume that isn't for a specific job, unless maybe someone within the company passed a friend's resume to a certain department and that department had a job opening that wasn't posted yet.

Funny -- in trying to help out the OP, I found a job that might be perfect for my good friend's husband, who's been out of work for a few months... you just never know!

I don't have any info on Disney jobs but all I can say is hang in there. I graduated from college in '07 (finished student teaching in '08) and had such a hard time finding a teaching job. :sad2: It was even hard to land interviews. Well, I am happy to report that last week I interviewed for an aide position in the district I subbed for last year and was called that same day with an offer! Even though it's an aide position atleast I know where I'll be going every day and I am getting more benefits than I thought I would! So I'm one step closer to getting my own classroom. Good luck, I know it is so frustrating being out of work.

Thanks everyone for your help. The hard part IS landing an interview. He has sent out a mountian of resmes, but not a single interview:confused3. Sooner or later it will be his turn to land a job. Everything happens for a reason...I keep telling myself.
