We normally do Disney in the winter but our weather has been horrible the last 4 years. How crazy is Disney World during Spring Break??

We have gone to WDW and DLR on our spring break (different years, LOL). But, our spring break is always the week that includes St. Patricks day (mid March). Usually this is not anywhere near Easter weekend. We have had good luck with crowds and weather each trip. But, if your spring break is attached to Easter weekend...... expect the heaviest crowds of the year (with the exception of christmas week). :earseek:

This past Spring break we were there on Easter Sunday. IMO it really wasn't that bad. Just take your time and enjoy yourself. We plan on going back Spring break 2007. Still paying on Spring break 2005.

We took grandkids down during spring break and I had it planned out real well I set down on computer and had every move laid out.We were able to hit all the great rides and managed to be in the right parks for early and late hours, we are not going to do it again however we will be going down in June this year and going to try to enjoy the trip. We also took the kids to Ft Myers on that trip and two hours getting down the main street helped us decide Flordia and spring break in the same sentence is scary. all the resorts were sold out the two nights were where there aand the parks showed it. I really feel if it wasn't for early hours and late hours we would not have got it all in. Rocking Roller coaster at 10:00 had fast pass for 6 that night.

Its been 5 years since we went to WDW on Spring Break but it wasnt that bad at all.. not sure how it is nowadays, but I wouldnt mind going at that time of the year..

We have been every year for the last 5 years the last 2 weeks in March and it's hectic. Maybe some are going earlier in March to say that it's not busy but every year the last 5 years during the last 2 weeks of March is just insane.

In fact 3 years ago they even closed the MK gates to incoming guests due to park capacity.

This past year it was so heavy with crowds they extended the park hours DURING THE DAY 2 days due to the crowd volume.

First, great weather we're having, huh :cold: ?!?! Doesn't WDW sound really good about now?! Anyway, we have done Spring Break at WDW twice and will be headed there from 3/22 - 3/31 next year (almost to the 100 day mark, not that I'm counting or anything  ). I was REALLY afraid that last year would be awful with it being Easter. It was not bad at all. We have been to WDW over Christmas and New Years and it was no where near that bad. DS and I were at Epcot on Easter Sunday and called home to wish everyone a happy Easter. It was rainy and 40º there, so of course we had to rub it in that it was 85º and sunny in Orlando :rotfl2: ! I don't think we had rain at all in the 10 days that we were there. If your family is up to it, evening EMH are GREAT :teeth: . You can do sooooo much in that 3 hour period. I'm sure you'll have a great time, no matter when you go :cloud9: .

What dates are the Spring Break in America? I am going from the UK from the 1st April to the 15th April.
:-)))).

It really varies. Some schools have off the week of Easter, while others may have their breaks scheduled for weeks around that time, either in March or in April. For example, my DS' high school has off the first week of April. :flower:

Spring break at our school this year is from April 8-17, but it can vary from early March to the week past Easter.

This is one of the reason why I think visiting during Easter is far better than visiting during Christmas:

Madison WI: March 13 - 17, 2006
Aldine TX: March 13 - 24, 2006
Enterprise AL: March 23 - April 3, 2006
Kewaunee WI: March 26 - 31, 2006
Pullman WA: April 3 - 7, 2006
St. Johns County FL: April 10 - 14, 2006
