We will be staying at our home resort OKW during Christmas week. It is our first time during the holidays. Any suggestions on things we should try to see???

The lobbies of the deluxe hotels are well decorated. Make sure to stop by the GF to see the gingerbread house. And the Beach Club.

Make sure to check out Mickey's Very Merry Christmas in the Magic Kingdom and the Osbourne lights in Hollywood Studios. I went to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas last year and it was great. Some rides are open late, the whole park is decorated and colored with cool lights. The different resorts are decorated as well as DTD, actually alot to see!

Welcome!!
Well I think everything is going to be magical during that season!:santa:

We usually travel in Dec as we love seeing all the lights and the castle with the beautiful lights. As mentioned above Osborne Lights along with Mickey's Merry Christmas. :santa: The snow falling is also great to see.

We did MVMCP last year. It was our first time and I wouldn't waste the money. They didn't check for the required wrist bands and tghere were lots of people there that did not pay for the tickets. The parade was not that different from the regular Christmas parade. The special treats were so-so and we didn't have time to ride many rides because we wanted to stake out a good spot for the parade. Knowing what I know now, if I did it again (and I doubt that I do!) I would focua on only rides. I expect with free dining this year, it will be super crowded.

Now, the castle and the Osbourne lights were not to be missed!

MVMCP, Osborne Lights, Candlelight Processional and the decorations at the various resorts. Go to Epcot and see the different ways that Christmas is celebrated in each of the countries. The castle at MK is gorgeous.:yay:

MVMCP is usually over around Dec. 18, so it will not be going on while the OP is there during Christmas week.

OP, that week is the busiest week of the entire year. Remember to get to the parks early, have a good touring plan and use the Fastpass system. MK is known to close by noon due to capacity crowds during that week.

As far as, do not miss Christmas attractions, check out this link:
