Disney Dual-screen Mobile Dvd Info

So according to one DISer that has this player you can charge it and use it anywhere. Now that I have gone back and re read the post it sounds like only one of the screens is able to hold the charge. I think I'll PM the poster to get the right answer!

If you don't mind, will you let me know what you find out? I would love to get this for our 11 hour LONG car ride to the OUterbanks and our 2 1/2 hour flight to Disney in the fall!!! Thanks!

Here is the info I got -

There's only one battery and it's on the one with the actual DVD unit attached- however, it appears if you have charged that unit fully, and just connect the 2 screens via the cord (which is long enough to stretch from the front seat to the 3rd row in my Honda Odyssey) both screens should run on the battery, though I haven't done this personally yet

THANKS TO KelsiesMommy for the great info!!!

Thanks for the info:) I went to Target today and looked at the box and it didn't say anything about having a rechargeable battery so I didn't buy it! I will have to make another trip there tomorrow. Thanks again.

I picked one of these up today on sale at Target. We also got a dual screen (and dual player, so they can watch different movies if they wanted) system at Sam's Club last weekend. Trying to decide which to keep . . ..

I am so happy! Tonight my DH came home with the DVD player and the girls were so excitied. He got it all set up in the car and the girls sat there watching The Wizard of Oz for like 45 mins.

It was so funny...I had to tell them to come in for dinner and my little one got all upset. She wanted to sit in the parked car and watch a movie!! So I had to bring the DVD inside and put it on the big TV for her just to get her out of the car!!

:goodvibes THANKS everyone for the info! We love our new DVD player!! :woohoo:

Dear Girly Q...

We have 5 kids, DS14, DD11, DS8, DS7 and DS3. The three younger DS's will be watching one screen in the back and the two older kids will have the other screen in the middle. A portable DVD player with 2 screens that plays 2 different movies would be perfect! Who makes it? What does it cost and how large are the screens? Thanks!

Got ours at Sam's Club. 2 7" screens, that can be connected to play the same movie or both have built-in DVD players to play seperate movies (or games, etc). Unfortunately I don't recall who makes them, but they had 2 options (essentially the same players, in either black or silver). I believe they were $180.

I think Target has a set with 2 9" screens that operate similarly for $259.

HTH!

I saw the Audivox at Target when we went to look at the Disney ones. It seems nice because the screens angle to avoid glare. $259 is just a little steep though given all our other Disney expenses. I need to make a Sam's run soon, so I'll check there. Thanks for the info!

I got the 7" dual dvd players from Sams Club but I'm returning them this weekend. They do NOT have the rechargeable battery included with them. After calling their customer service, I found that I can order it through them for an additional $45. After the $180 price tag, an additional $45 is not worth it.

If I'm reading correctly though, the Disney DVD players do come with a rechargeable battery...is this correct?

I read on this thread that the Disney DVD was rechargeable, but the Target website does not have it in their regular line up. In order to find it on the site I had to go to the weekly ad and enter my zip code. It is there, but there isn't much of a description and it doesn't say anything about being rechargeable.

Bump ... we just saw this on clearance at target. anyone who has one.. do you still love it
