Who Is Ready For Some Snow This Weekend?

The latest forecast is not as pessimistic/optimistic, depends on your perspective, for my location.

Down from 1-2 inches of ice to 1/4 - 3/4 of an inch. Still would likely be no power for awhile but not for weeks like the initial forecast.

One of these days the media will hype a storm so much, no one will prepare, and it will actually happen.

We are starting to get some 'projected' totals out of the forecasters. Right now we are on the line of 8-12" & 12-18" so we will see. Honestly, I'm ready for some snow. I prefer not to get the ice - but no control over that if we do. I'll be waiting and watching to see how much is changes between now & Friday evening.

Woke up to an alert from the airline about changing flights from Sunday return from WDW. Took 2 hours between trying to coordinate a flight change and a one day resort extension. Got bounced between 3 different Disney and DVC departments. Endies up paying cash. It just seemed so customer no service. I remember when Hurricane Sandy hit and it was a totally different story. Great customer service.

I don't think we're expecting snow but it's going to be bitterly cold -- high temps below zero. :cold:
Us too. Our daytime temps are going to remain below zero a few days next week!!! Brrrrr! That's really COLD. We might even get to 52 degrees below zero! one night! That has happened only one time where we live but that was enough! At least I can dream of our Florida vacation in May to keep sane, lol.

Foothills of NC here. We’ve heard an inch or two of ice to 2 feet of snow. Depends on who you ask. We lit the gas logs today and started the generator. Going tomorrow for a bit more gas and a few groceries. I pray it’s not bad as our son is an electrical lineman. He has 3 small kids at home including a less than 1 month old baby. I hope his wife isn’t at home alone with the kids. Also worry about my parents but they live really close to my brothers and they will take care of them. Prayers for everyone to be safe.
I hope your son is going to be ok. I would bet that electrical linemen have been trained for all kinds of weather, but we still worry as Mom's:) My grandson is learning to be an electrician and I thought of him when I saw the ice predicted for some states. Us Mom's(and Dad's) never quit worrying:)

They've pretty much taken all snow out of our forecast in DFW. Now it's sleet and ice. Praying for more sleet as it's less dangerous (although still dangerous). I'll be gathering our flashlights tonight (no candles as I'm allergic to fragrances). But I might go to the dollar store and get a couple just for this type of situation.

I say bring on the yearly snow/ice storm. Living in the south I miss snow... of course when I lived in the PNW, after a few months of freezing temps, ice, and snow I would welcome sunny days and warm weather.

Our weather forecasts for the south are constantly changing. So we could get anywhere from .5"- 10" this weekend. I will get excited the closer we get to Friday. What concerns me is the potential for ice and the impact that below freeing temps will have. Although if it means that work is closed... What's more important is that if campus is closed due to weather that when it reopens, that the heating system works.

No. No. No.

We are driving down to WDW on Saturday, leaving from Cleveland. It's been a crazy winter so far, wishing we were going to have better weather on our trip. Just hope we don't run into any weather delays on the trip down. Wish us luck.

Our forceasted snow levels just went up. I'm in New England and we've pretty much coasted the last couple of winters so BRING IT ON!
