DD loves being in walking distance to DS but we cannot afford SSR and she isn't a fan of the boats (otherwise, I'd book POR/POFQ), so looking at the Drury. We have two park days and two Sea World days planned-can Uber to parks, but we will miss out on the earlier dining reservations and the LL reservations. The free breakfast at Drury is great for me and reviews are mostly positive (except when cheer teams descend, eek). Maybe room deals will come out in the fall? The two parks we are going to are MK and AK. Any tips/suggestions? Thanks!!

There is a bus from POFQ to DS.

I guess that defeats the "walking distance" request though. Although, I'm not sure how walkable the Drury is. I'm not familiar with it.

Another idea would be to consider renting DVC points for SSR.

We have done that previously but last year had rented through DVC rental store and last minute health issue came up and we lost our money. So we can’t take risk again. Thanks though!

Don't forget an Uber to the Magic Kingdom will drop you at the TTC. Having then take the boat or monorail will eat up a little bit of time.

I noticed Lake Buena Vista Palace has a walkway to DS. Never stayed there but I noticed it was once a popular hotel. Prices seemed reasonable.

That is a Hilton I prefer the closer Hilton Resort location to the walkway … but these locations might be considered more “ professional , international or convention “ guests.
That slight distance means a lot to me if walking .
I started staying at that Hilton before the walkway bridge was built

admit I want to stay at Drury because they have hotdogs for Happy Hours …

This is at the BoardWalk on Disney property ! Haha

I was interested in Hilton Buena Vista Palace because I have a free night reward, but the reviews on cleanliness have been really mixed! How recently have you stayed there? Thanks!

I was voting for the Hilton Orlando LBV Disney Springs location …
I have walked around both and was surprised how nice the HiltonBVPalace appeared .
Have not stayed recently because I discovered the SIGNIA byHilton on Bonnet Creek which is gorgeous and one of my top favorite places to try to use my points or a reward now! They have a very nice charter bus and is also connected to the Waldorf property .

I have stayed at both and enjoyed both stays. we love the Drury now.
It is father to walk to DS but it's on same road. you have to reserve shuttle at Hilton to parks but at Drury offer a shuttle various times of the day without reserving to DS & all the parks. I just think of value of room price with drury you get free breakfast plus in afternoon free fountain drinks you can fill up your own tumbler, 3 free alcoholic drinks per adult and free kick back light snacks they call it but if you look it up on Drury's website it lists the food its a lot from chicken fingers to hot dogs.

Actually the distance from Drury to Disney Springs is walkable. In fact… it’s much shorter travel time for me on a walk compared to Holiday Inn Disney Springs. Once you go on the sidewalk… it’s a straight shot through the bridge with no turns until you get to the Disney Springs security.

Google maps says the walk from HI is about .2 mile shorter then Drury. It's similar but the HI isn't much shorter

I have stayed at both the Drury Inn and the two Hiltons across from Disney Springs. I prefer the Drury Inn because of the food options for breakfast, 3 “free” adult drinks, the kickback snack in the evening that you can make a meal of, large rooms, easy bus system, “newer” rooms, and no resort fee. I say “newer” rooms because the tower in the front was originally built in the 70s or 80s, but was totally gutted when Drury purchased the site and added on a huge additional tower. The price of the Drury has always come out better for our family after joining their loyalty club or hunting down discount codes online.

LBV Palace Hilton is the better of the two hiltons, IMO, but the walk to Disney Springs feels longer from LBV than I anticipated even though it was right across the street. The lazy river at LBV Palace and pool area is pretty nice. The other Hilton felt tired to me and the pool area was okay. Both of these hotels take on a resort fee.

I should have mentioned that we own DVC and usually use the Drury Inn to tack on a day or two at the front/back end of a trip if we need an extra night.
