Disney dresses, how’s the fit?

How does the fit tend to run on Disney’s dresses? Do you find it fits as expected if you tried it on in the parks (like you’re usually a medium and the medium fit)? Or is it accurate to the measurements if you purchased online? I’m thinking about buying the Mary Poppins themed one online but I’m not sure on the sizing. (I have a small bust so I’m concerned about gapping if I get it too big.)

This was my daughter's experience. They tend to run a little large. We had to go down a size. As for the bust, I am not sure. And she loves the Mary Poppins dress. It will probably be her next one.

I am usually a 2-4 depending on the dress and I have three dresses in an XS and they fit great. I have a very small bust and have no issues with gaping, but I don't have any in a similar style to the Mary Poppins one.

Seems accurate to me. I am usually a small and the smalls fit pretty well, maybe a smidge too big but not noticeable, the XS would have been too small. I have five of the dresses. However, when I was debating the tightrope girl dress I had to go to a medium because I have very broad shoulders. I have never tried on the Mary Poppins dress. I would ask in the forum posted above, I know several ladies own it.
