I just want to warn you about the Disney Dreams matinee. After we arrived and took our seats, 5 row right side, we noticed all the center section of the theater was roped off. All the children in the clubs were going to sit there!! We almost got up and walked out at that point, but figured we had great seats so stayed. As the children filed in, the noise level was unbelievable, hundreds of children came in. We kept thinking, we should leave, how are they going to keep these children quiet and in their seats?

Guess what, the show started and within moments, total silence!!! There was a wee bit more noise when new characters came out on stage, but that just added to our enjoyment. Little cries of 'Alladin' and 'Tinkerbell' were echoing through our heads, too! I glanced over a few times and the children were all glued to their seats. It was amazing!

I hadn't read that the kid's clubs attend the matinee in one HUGE group. But don't worry, the show captivates and entertains them, too.

Unlike... when we went to see a matinée screening of "The Rookie" at a second-run theatre recently. That screening was packed with kids from day-cares and kids-camps. And boy, was it noisy! I'm glad you enjoyed your matinée experience.

Just a note on on the three-day matinee...for that one, they DON'T bring the kids, since they are still on the island.
But Leslie, I agree...it's amazing how quiet the little ones get when that show starts! We are usually at the showing with less children, since we are on late seating, but a couple of times we have gone to the early seating show and were amazed at how good they behave. We've noticed the same thing that you mentioned...the excited little cried when a new character comes out. It's neat because there is so much more "energy" at a packed show, particularly when there are a lot of little ones.
When we saw "Lilo and Stitch" in the big theater on the Wonder, we were down the aisle from a little girl and her mom. It was as much fun hearing her whispered explanations of the story to mom as it was to watch the movie. She wasn't being loud or disturbing...I had to listen closely to catch what she was saying. But it was so cute!
