Whilst on holiday at Disney World in 2010 we saw some fantastic canvas pictures from the artist Thomas Kinkade. The 2 specifically were the Pinocchio and Tinkerbell ones and were in all the Art shops both in the parks and at Downtown Disney.
I fell in love with them :lovestruc but due to the size and price was unable to make a purchase. :sad1:
I didn't think I'd be able to find the pictures as I looked everywhere for a print, rather than the canvas and wasn't able to............. until now! :woohoo:
Not only did I find the 2 pictures mentioned but found there were another 5 in the same set :cloud9:
I am soo made up now as I have them all up on the walls framed in some lovely frames - I've added some name labels to the mount and think I've done a good job. I can't stop looking at them as there's so much detail
What do you think?

They look amazing. Thomas Kincade's work is so amazing and to see those Disney pics with so beautifully done in is incredible. So did you have them mouted and do all the framing yourself? I agree, the amount of detail in there will probably remain forever. I think that is the nature of his work, you will always see the picture differently when you look at it. Enjoy!!

The pictures are A4, so I bought the frames (14 x 11") from Wilko's which came with A4 mounts already cut. I printed off the labels onto thin card using a script font. Hubby cut out the aperture for the labels and I did the rest - very easy and didn't take me long.
I have some plates from Bradford Exchange of Thomas Kinkade's other pictures - one set is lighthouses which are up in my hallway - the other set came as rectanglar ones with dark green edging - I think they are cottages. Unfortunately these have ended up being put away as I needed space for my Disney stuff! :lmao:
When I saw that Kinkade had then done these Disney pictures - it was like killing 2 birds with 1 stone (best of both worlds!) :thumbsup2

they're lovely pictures (really like Thomas Kinkade) and you've done a brilliant job with the framing and labelling. Love your spice jars too.

They look really good. :thumbsup2 I wanted to buy a print of the Peter Pan one last time we were at WDW but they only had the limited edition canvas. Do you mind me asking where you bought your prints?

I love his work. I have 2 on canvas Snow White and Pinocchio. I love visting his galleries. He has had some trouble lately and a few of the galleries have closed. I met both him and his wife Nan they are lovely people.

I have the 'New day at the Castle' print and absolutely love it. I'm hoping to get some others by Thomas Kinkade too, beautiful pictures.

I wanted the castle print, but ran into the same problem last year at WDW :sad2: So the location of where you got these would be great. But I will take another look when I go this year, yey another shopping excuse my DH will be so thrilled :rotfl:

Also been told by a friend there's an Artshop in Bluewater (Kent) that carries his artwork so next time I'm down that way I plan to take a look and see if they stock prints too. :dance3:

Not sure I should admit to this but I downloaded them off of the internet :rolleyes1
