Epcot Day
It was a HOT one when we woke up on this day. They were saying that Orlando could get close to the record. Lovely!
We started out our day with the Princesses @ Norway. My son (4) dressed up as Prince Philip was very excited. He just loves getting all the attention from the pretty ladies
Our seating was for 8:30am. We were one of the first people let through the gates. I was so happy to see a friendly CM there offering us a ride back to Norway. We gladly took his invite
We did our check in & DS was already getting loads of attention as a Handsome Prince.
We were promptly seated & the Princesses made their way out. My son was a gentleman & made sure to kiss on the Princess's hands. Of course the Princesses returned his kiss on their hand with a kiss on his cheek
He was in 7th Heaven with all the lovely Princesses kissing him
We saw Mulan, Jasmine, Snow White, Belle & Auroua.
After we had our fill of breakfast we headed off for some rides. It was so hot, we ducked into the closest bathroom & changed DS into some much cooler clothes.
We ran over to Test Track & got some FPs. DS was really having a hard time in the heat (he has asthma) so DH & I decided that we would rent a stroller for him today. DS played in the water area near Test Track while DH went up front to get a stroller.
We then ran over to Universe of Energy. For some reason my son loves Ellen! He always laughs at her jokes.
After going back in time with Ellen, we decided to hit Journey into Imagation. For some reason last June & last December we overlooked this ride.
We really enjoyed it & everyone fell in love with Figment!!!
About this time it was time for our fastpasses at Test Track. I am not a big fan of this ride, it really is kind of boring to me, but my DS just loves it, so we all ride it & have fun
Next we hit two rides we never experienced before, Maelstorm in Norway & the Mexico boat ride.
I send DH over to get FPs for Maelstorm & then we head over to ride the river of Mexico.
It was OK...I guess I would not go out of my way to ride it.
Our FPs were not quite ready when we were done with Mexico so we walked over to the Outpost & all got a strawberry slushie. Very good on such a HOT HOT day!
On the way back to Norway, we stopped in China & DS played with the China puppets for a while.
We head over to Maelstorm, while when we were walking up there DS freaks because he sees one of the boats sticking out over the rocks. He starts saying "I don't want to go on that ride" We sat down and talked to him, asking him Why.
Turns out he thought that the boats go over the rocks, so we sat there for a while watching some boats go by so he sees that we won't go over the rocks.
Finally he was assured that it was safe & we hoped on Maelstorm, which he ended up liking...minus the troll...he hid his eyes & told me he was scary looking!
After that we went back over to FutureWorld deciding what to do. It was so hot, DH & I just didn't feel like doing anything. We talked about it & decided to just go back to the resort. Especially since even though DS was in a stroller, he did seem to have a little trouble with the heat & his asthma.
On the way out we stopped & rode Spaceship Earth. This is a family favorite, so a MUST do everytime we are in Epcot. DH & DS went in one row & I was behind them. After the ride was done, DS wanted to ride with me too. There was no line, so DS & I rode in one row, with DH behind us a second time.
We finally left Epcot around 1:00/2:00pm. We headed back to POP. DS was tired, I am sure from the heat, so he took a nap. DH went out to the pool for quick dip, while I watch some TV & wrote out some postcards.
After DS woke up from his nap, we talked about going back to Epcot to watch IllumiNations. But it was still pretty hot & no one really felt like dealing with the heat & a crowded bius, so we just hung out at POP & checked out the different areas of the resort.
It was a very nice relaxing evening!
