Saturday, June 5th

We were going to split this day between MGM & Animal Kingdom but decided that we would just stick at Animal Kingdom all day once we saw all the people heading off to MGM this day!!!

We had an 8:00 PS at Donald's breakfast. Like I said, we have always enjoyed this breakfast, but this time around we were so disappointed in it. I don't know if I would ever want to try it again!
It was so rushed & I felt we were on a timeclock!!! Very disappointed.
The charatcers we saw a flash of were Goofy, Donald, Mickey & Pluto

After our "fast food" breakfast, we had to wait a bit before being let in the park. Once the rope dropped we headed off to the Safari ride & did that first.

We then played & looked around in Africa for a bit afterwards. We met Rafiki before heading over to Asia. We grabbed some FPs for the Rapids & then headed over to Tarzan Rocks.
We were seated right up against the ramp & that made my son's day because he was able to give Terk "high five"!!

We used our FPs after that for the Rapids, my mother got SOAKED!!!!! DS & I were laughing our heads off!!!
Luckily it was a hot day so getting wet felt pretty good.

Before I forget to say, I was surprised just how uncrowded Animal Kingdom was today! It did not seem like many people were out, maybe there were all at MGM or Magic.

We went over to catch the 1:00 show of the Lion King. It started to rain so it was a good choice & I think everyone in the park decided to see the 1:00 show! LOL!

After the show, we wanted to see the Pocahontas show. We have never took the time to see it & wanted to make a point of it this time. Well, the show we sat down for was canceled because of rain.

So we decided we were all hungry & stopped off at Pizzafari! I love Pizzafari, I think it is a wonderful place for counter service at AK.

After our pizzas the rain had stopped so we decided we would try Pocahontas again. Luckily that show was going on as planned & we were able to see it.
I thought it was a very cute show.

It was getting close to parade time so we decided to go find a seat. We found one over by the Tree so right afterwards we could duck in there & see It's Tough to be a Bug.

This parade is a good parade! My son likes it because Terk is in it!

After the parade we go see It's Tough to be a Bug. It always amazes me the crying & screaming kids during the show. My only vice about it is I REALLY wish parents would REMOVE the frightened child!!!
I am surprised that my child loves the movie as much as he does. He doesn't like Honey, I shrunk the audience but he loves It's Tough to be a Bug....goes to show, you just never know!

After battling the bugs we head up to Rakafi's Planet Watch. We have never been up to that part of Animal Kingdom so we decided to check it out.

We had a great time up there! My son loved the train ride. And the best part was my son got to meet STANELY!!!!!! :Pinkbounc
That was a thrill. There was hardly anyone up there because it was getting close to closing time so my son had Stanely pretty much to himself.
Stanely ended up playing with the kids that were there, there was probably about 4 kids total. It was GREAT!!!!

We also got to meet Pocahontas...someone we have never met before!!! YEAH!!!!! Pocahontas was wonderful to my son & we got some great pics with her.
It was a great way to end the day at Animal Kingdom.

We took the train back to the mainland & enjoyed the stroll out of the park.

It was a great day. The only thing we did not get to do that we kind of were hoping to do was to see Flights of Wonder. Oh well, there is always next time :)

Btw--My son was able to go the whole day stroller free!!!!! So far he only used a stroller one day! Yeah!
It is so much easier not having to worry about a stroller.
