DISNEY DREAMING! A Nov/Dec 2010 PTR *12/9 ~ Hello Again!

I think I will head over there after our Epcot FW day, that will be our second Epcot day so I'm sure we won't need to stay till close and since it's just next door, why not

I can't wait to try LeCellier, since I am Canadian and have never had cheddar cheese soup before :confused3

Maybe we can talk them into building a Timmies there, I am bringing my Timmies tea with me!!!

Good plan! That'll be a nice walk, or boat ride if you're so inclined.

I've never had cheddar cheese soup before either. I love cheese but I'm not a huge cheddar fan. I wonder how often they'd had a suggestion to put Timmies in there?? It'd be packed!

Your plans sound great and excellent restaurant choices too.

Should be fun to meet Flynn and Rapunzel, hope you get a great character interaction. The interaction with Naveen and Tiana is really good too. You should ask her how her restaurant is doing :)

Hey thanks for that! That's a great question to ask. :cool1:

Tangled is coming out November 24th and will be a great movie to see just before we go. That week will be full of movies - Tuesday will be our normal movie night, then Tangled on the Wednesday, and we'd already planned to have Thursday and Friday as additional movie nights to gear up for the trip. Perfect!!

Hi Tracy!:goodvibes

I think I must have posted my earlier response at the same time you updated this morning.;) I need to keep up!!

Your plans at MK look great!!:thumbsup2 I'm glad Ariana will be able to get her extra time there.:goodvibes

Yum! That cinnamon roll looks so good! We need to make it to Main Street Bakery next trip!!

I can't wait to hear what you think of the Captain's Grille!! Oh and what lovely pictures you're going to be able to get of the Boardwalk!!:cloud9:

Day 8 plans look great too!!!:cool1:A nice, relaxing day exploring Epcot and finishing up what you didn't get done the first day....sounds good to me!!:)

sounds like 2 good days!!! We will be doing WDW in Dec without park hoppers..this will be new for us and I'm not sure how we will like it haha. I have a hopper with my AP but with our Free Dining, the rest of my family are not hopping. We're going to have 1 day at Epcot, 1 day at DHS, and MVMCP for another day. Not sure how that DHS day will work out as we never spend a full day there or at AK plus MK is open till 11 that day so we'll see if the hopping ends up happening lol.

You will enjoy Captains Grille :) It will be a nice laid back meal that you don't find at any other WDW restaurant :) To us, it's a hidden gem!!

:woohoo: Great movie choice!! I can't wait to see it again when it comes out next week!! I'll have to be sure and stock up on some tissues first though. Hopefully I won't cry as much as did in the movie theater.:rolleyes1

Sorry....that you all weren't feeling well.:sad2: Hope everyone is feeling better!:thumbsup2

YAY for less than 1 month to go!!:yay::dance3::yay:

You're right, I did miss this one.... we posted at exactly the same time - sorry!

I gotta admit, the second time around I didn't bawl like I did in the theatres  but I did still well up big time and if the kiddos weren't there to make fun of me, I'd have shed a few.

As much as I loved having the water parks and Disney Quest on our last trip, I do like having the extra days this time to spend at the four main parks. It's worked out well to keep my promise to Ariana. :lovestruc

Last trip I forgot to bring some extra memory cards for my camera so I'd have to delete blurry or 'extra' shots to free up space towards the end of most days. This trip I'm bringing those memory cards. :thumbsup2

We've never had park hoppers and so far it's worked out really well. Spending each day at one park, we've never felt the need to hop. I'm already feeling spoiled to have it for the Spectrum Moms trip though. :rolleyes1

I'm so glad you love Captain's Grille, I'm excited to try it. :yay:

DAY 8

The dinner choice for today originally started off as San Angel Inn when I was getting ready to make my ADRs at the 180 day mark. We hadn’t been there before but enjoyed floating thru the restaurant, and going with the trying of new things theme, I was going to book us there. But on second thought and after asking George which he’d prefer, he made it clear with just a snort laugh that we would not be going to Epcot without also going to……

Le Cellier! Oh and I’m very happy we booked here now that they’re switching this to a Signature Dining requiring two table service credits. Why oh why don’t they expand this restaurant? Has it even been considered? Anyway, our reservation is for 8:05pm which is a little late but not too bad. I already know that I’m ordering the filet with mushroom risotto. YUM! YUM! YUM!

One of the reasons I have heard about Le Cellier becoming 2 table service is that they are bringing back Canadian Beef instead of the current Australian beef they are serving.

Park day 7 looks great. We won't talk about rain, it is NOT going to happen on our vacation, it just won't. We have to think positive :goodvibes.

I got a new camera with panoramic capabilities too, I can't wait to see your pictures from the Boardwalk area. Have fun at Beaches and Cream, it is so yummy there.

I think it is a great idea for you to do the picture itinerary for Ariana :thumbsup2.

Day 8 looks really good too. We are guilty of not taking time to really explore the pavilions. I hope we do that this trip. Glad you got a LeCellier reservation. Bill loves that place.

Can't wait to read more!

No Way Jose.....is it awful I want one for breakfast!!! Peanut Butter and Chocolate! I'm thinking my last night at BWI I'm going over to Beaches and Cream and indulging myself in one of those LOL!!!!

Love your MK and EPCOT plans! I also love character meets and Tiana & Naveen and Rapuznel and Flynn are on my must do list for January!!!

Great plans for days 7 & 8!! :thumbsup2

We have some similar Epcot goals... I want to watch Illuminations from the upper area of Canada too! :cool1: A new KP mission is always good and I'm thinking about doing the pick-a-pearl too! I wish I'd done it on my girls weekend trip.

OMG, you've never been to the Boardwalk?!?!?!?!?! :scared1: Ahh I love it there! Early evening is definitely when it starts to come alive. So much fun. :thumbsup2

I am hoping that Rapunzel and Flynn Rider are still there in March when we go. I'd love to meet them.

I read that this morning too. Well, it wasn't that specific but they did say they're changing up the menu and adding onto the wine selection. I think this will be our last Le Cellier dinner, the 2 TS credits are just too steep.

You're right! Rain... what rain? :confused3 Never heard of it.

Last trip, as slow of a pace as we took, I didn't take near enough panoramic shots. This time I will! ::yes::

Ariana responds really well to the picture itinerary. This will be my third time putting it together and it's a bit of work, but well worth it. Really, she doesn't need the pictures, she can read it, but it's fun to see the finished product and we all reference it. We post it in the room. :rotfl: I'm about halfway through and I'll post it when I'm done.

Peanut butter and chocolate are yummmmm at any time of the day! Nice way to end your day with a little indulgence. Mmmm.

When we meet Tiana & Naveen, I'm hoping Ariana will do her little Naveen catch phrase when prompted. If you ask her in a N'Orleans drawl, "Just... one little kiss?" , she'll answer, "Unless you beg me for more." :rotfl2:

Great plans for days 7 & 8!! :thumbsup2

I always like that time of the night when you're waiting for Illuminations to begin. If you've given yourself enough time and found a great spot, it's really nice to just relax and soak everything in. While my family is relaxing and getting comfortable, I find myself wide eyed and just looking for the small details and searching for that new thing I haven't seen before. :goodvibes

I'm really looking forward to the pick-a-pearl. Can't wait to see what we choose!

Nope. I think it was the third trip in before I even knew it was there!! I always wondered where that other exit from Epcot went. :rotfl2:

Gosh that's not to far away, we don't get it til the end of Jan next year :( You're all gonna have a great week that week :thumbsup2

It'll be tricky with Alex's hockey schedule, he's actually going to skip the Tangled day and have a teammate take him to hockey, but we'll manage somehow. :thumbsup2

I have to find time for Christmas shopping before we go too. :guilty: I don't really want to leave too much for after we're back.

I think I'm freaking myself out a little bit......

I went shopping yesterday!! :cool1: Natalie (Tinkermom76) posted how she'd found the Purex 3 in 1 laundry stuff at Zellers so with a wish list of:

1. Purex 3 in 1
2. Christmas window decals
3. hanging shoe holders

.... off Demetri and I went. Demetri is a hoot to take shopping. He's so bubbly and sees the fun in absolutely everything that it's actually fun to take him. Not that I'm knocking my other kids... :rolleyes1 but he's such a great listener and has the funniest things to say.

Anyway, we only accomplished finding one of the three things on the wish list. :headache: They were just starting to put the Christmas stock out and we were getting in their way so we'll go back another time. They had other hanging shoe holders but not what I was looking for so I'll have to try that again too or maybe head to Walmart.

Here's what we did come back with!

2010_1031Misc0001.jpg

Lots of batteries :thumbsup2

2010_1031Misc0004.jpg

Canada Mittens -- Alex has a pair of these and they're great. George doesn't 'do' mittens so I got myself, Ariana and Demetri a pair.

2010_1031Misc0002.jpg

The Purex 3 in 1 and a Tide spot stick to boot :thumbsup2

2010_1031Misc0003.jpg

We did snag these for our room windows. I realized afterwards the sticky parts are what would be seen from the outside so I'll have to rethink how to use these...... Ooo, had a thought - string them up for a chain!

2010_1031Misc0005.jpg

I'd wanted some new snuggy jammies for Ariana for the trip. She usually wears night shirts but with the cooler temperatures I wanted to get her a top and bottom set. It was a tough choice from the selection they had, but going with Ariana's two favorites -- pink and Minnie -- we know she'll love them. :lovestruc

2010_1031Misc0006.jpg

Then of course, I wanted a pair. :lmao: It's hard to see them while they're in their cute little ribbon but it's Tinkerbell with a really nice blue, green, yellow stripe pants and swirls on the top.

2010_1031Misc0009.jpg

I'd been concerned about what Ariana was going to wear with the fluctuating temperatures. She loves a pair of tights that she got for her birthday and they go well with tshirts or sweaters, so I picked up a few more pairs for her.

2010_1031Misc0007.jpg

Snuggly Handy Manny jammies! There were soooo many choices for Demetri with jammies... Lightning McQueen, Mater, Woody, Buzz - racks and racks of selection.

2010_1031Misc0008.jpg

Yes we are major Leaf fans! These are actually for home.

So no window decals (I haven't been able to find the paper so you can make your own either -- I'd love to make some with my avatar pic!) and no shoe organizers yet either. Demetri and I did go to the dollar store close to our home this morning and they had a lot of Halloween window decals. Once they clear that stock later in a few days they'll be putting out the Christmas stuff.

I do feel a bit better after getting these but still have a lot to do!

Don't freak out, there is still plenty of time to Christmas shop and prepare for your vacation  Remember the web is your friend and ordering gifts that way can be fun and hassle free, not to mention crazy people and line free too :teeth: Also, you can always get some gifts out there too which will be even more special as they are from Disney World :)

Saw your TR link and hopped over!!! Now I'm back :) You're right of course, I guess I'm just not a huge web shopper. I'm lucky though that I can ship things to my work and they'll accept things that might come in while I'm gone. :cool1:

Thanks, I feel better already. :goodvibes

Hey you no lurking, don't you want to be the first to subscribe?

Glad you feel better :) Online shopping is so much easier and you can still get the traditional Christmas shopping feel as well, but you can relax in knowing that you don't have to worry about rushing around to find a certain something etc. I'll let you in on a little secret, last year I got all my Christmas shopping done in November and everything was online, except for a few things that I preferred to go out and get myself.

Those are some great buys!!!! How big is the 3 in 1?? I'm assuming it's for the trip? I have 2 packs of those tide laundry detergs but the 3 in 1 looks nice too!!

Not sure if you have Dollar Tree but my mom found me a ton of window clings there for Xmas. She got me Princess, Mickey, Pooh, and Charlie Brown..all a dollar of course. I was thinking about not hanging the Mickey ones at school and taking them with us. Since we're at WL, not sure how good they will do on the sliding door but it might "fancy" it up a bit??!!!

great shopping trip! I am so glad you found the Purex!!!

Do you have a Dollarama by your house cause I found the shoe rack there for $2 the other day so now I have 2, one for shoes and one for toiletries and such

I am out to look for window clings first thing tomorrow morning, I figure most stores will get rid of the Halloween stuff over night tonight.. Walmart here I come!!!!
