DISNEY DREAMING! A Nov/Dec 2010 PTR *12/9 ~ Hello Again!

They are really doing a Monster Inc. II and a Cars II? What would the storylines be. I'm thinking these movies aren't going to be that good. Toy Story II was ok, but wasn't nearly as good as the first one. I actually thought Toy Story III was better than II.

I haven't heard anything about MI2 though. It's scheduled for a fall, 2012.

Hmmm, how do you trade with yourself? I miss MNSSHP ! The year we went it was so very hot but people were in full costumes that were incredible. We saw a Jack Skellington and I thought he was a CM for how good the costume was.... I thought I got a picture of him, I'll have to look!



I don't think I heard of Newts? I can't wait for both of them!

It's meet the teacher night at Alex's high school tonite so movie night has been bumped to Wednesday this week. I've consoled them with the promise of a special surprise......

Long promised Day 6 plans will be up soon too, promise! I've written it up, just haven't had the chance to post it.

But the most wonderful thing about tiggers is I'm the only one
IIIII'm the only one!






Yes, today was all about T – I – double guh err ! Hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo! The strange-looking creature with those beady little eyes, and that "purrposterous" chin, and those "rickydickorous" striped py-jamas!!



In 1997 when Alex was just two years old and Ariana only one, Pooh’s Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin came out. It was instantly a favorite of both Alex and Ariana’s and has been watched many, many times in our household. Demetri loves it now too and one of his very favorite characters has always been Tigger.

So shocked as I was at Demetri’s movie choice for tonight, I guess I shouldn’t have been too surprised that he chose….

Tiggers are cuddly fellas
Tiggers are awfully sweet
Everyone el-es is jealous
That's why I repeat and repeat
The wonderful thing about tiggers
Is tiggers are marvellous chaps
They're loaded with vim and with vigor
They love to leap in your laps

But the most wonderful thing about tiggers is I'm the only one
I'm the only one!



Originally movie night was being bumped to Wednesday this week so I was planning a treat surprise to make up for it, but in the end we kept it on Tuesday. By then, I wanted the surprise too so we did it anyway!


Seeing as how I was making the rules, I decided to do things a bit differently tonite and we had our treats first…. and then dinner while watching the movie.


So on this last day of summer, when I got home from work, the kids piled into the van and off we went to… Baskin Robbins for ice cream!!

They had ice cream cake displays right as you walked in the door and the kids wanted pictures. Here’s a very appropriate cake for the nights festivities….

…..and a not so appropriately themed one.

I then took Ariana around the store and ran thru all thirty-one flavors they had to choose from. She decided on Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough with crumbled Smarties on top. Alex chose Mint Chocolate Chip with chunks of Reese’s peanut butter cups on top. Demetri and I both chose Quarterback Crunch which is vanilla ice cream with chocolate covered rice krispies with a caramel ribbon throughout. I opted for no topping while Demetri went with a gummy bear one.

We ate our treats in the store and then picked up a pizza on the way home to share while watching the movie.

Yum!


At fifteen, the Tigger Movie wasn’t exactly riveting movie material for Alex, but he was a good sport about it. Ariana loves all the action the movie has and frequently did her dance, or bouncing dance as it were, of joy.


After Tigger’s last “T-T-F-N! Ta-ta for now!” it was time to take another LGMH and link segment down!

We still have all the sections and Ariana added this latest one to our fridge.

Well.......I would if I knew how to post pictures! I don't even have any of my pictures on the computer I just get them all developed and put them in photo albums and then delete them off the camera.
We leave for Disney in 25 days and I promise to do my very best to learn how to put pics on the computer and post them!

What a fun Disney night! Any night that starts at Baskin Robbins is yummy..I mean A-Ok in my book! We don't have a Baskin Robbins where we live so I am sure to get there when we go away. Its just something I always look forward to.

And, How on Earth did I miss the pin post?!? I went back and looked. Those are some awesome pins!

Newts was going to be about the two last newts on earth, but it got shelved about a mouth ago. So Cars 2 has been moved forward by a year.

I'm a big fan of eating ice cream before dinner.

I've never seen the Tigger Movie but I love the pooh gang, the movies are usually pretty cute. My brother & I used to watch the Pooh Cartoon on the weekends.

The boys haven't started yet but I found out their hockey nights are Sat/Sun and Wed/Thurs -- movie night stays as Tuesday!

The kids gave me some funny looks when they realized the surprise before dinner was ice cream (I didn't tell them until we got there....) but no one complained!

Definately another fun night. I'm cherishing them now because I know as they get older, spending time with Mom isn't always going to be their first choice.

Yay! Movie nights are so much fun!! Great choice Demetri! Aww...The Tigger Movie is one of our very favorites around here!! It brings back such great memories....Nick used to love the song "Your heart will lead you home"....he made me sing it to him before bed every night when he was little.

Ice cream before dinner? I love that idea!!! Doesn't it feel great to see that countdown chain getting smaller and smaller?
