Arrival Day
This time around, we again have a mid day flight out of Buffalo that has us scheduled to arrive at the Pop likely just before dinner. No scavenger hunt this time, and Im not sure what the weather will be like, so chances are well head straight to
Walmart for souvenirs and room snackies, then on to dinner. The difference this time around is I went ahead and got the dining plan for our first day so instead of McDonalds, we can grab a counter service at the Pop.
I really like getting our souvenirs at Walmart on the first day. They usually have the same items that are sold in the parks at half the cost, so taking our time and choosing everything as soon as we get there lets us discriminate more when buying stuff in the parks or the resort. It works for us.
So that in a nutshell is our arrival day!
I forgot to mention a few things about arrival day. I'm not sure I mentioned this already, but when I was switching my reservations over to the free dining, I also gave my Magical Express info, so that's all set. We're scheduled to arrive at MCO at 1:30pm.
I'm also going to mention at the front desk that it's Kathryn's first trip and ask for a first trip button. Even if she gets one free thing, or one special moment from a CM commemorating her first trip the whole time, it'll be worth it.

I did tie the first trip thing into our main ressie too, but just in case, I'm going to ask for it.
I also want to decorate our room window this time. I'll going to cruise the dollar store for clinging window decals and see what I can come up with.
Oh, and of course, while I was at Home Depot recently, I tucked a small stack of lime green mickey heads in my purse.

I'm really hoping to meet a few DISers and that'll help anyone who happens to cross my path see who I am.... so look out for me!
Now onto a few non-arrival day items.
I called Disney Dining yesterday and asked about the sharing of the table services on our last day. The CM told me they're not supposed to do that, but it would be up to the restaurant if they allowed us to. I figure we'll try and if they poo-poo it, we'll just order something tiny out-of-pocket so everyone is happy. So I'm officially going with......
Whispering Canyon Café in Wilderness Lodge!!
I looked into the transportation from Pop to Wilderness Lodge and decided to bus it to MK and then take a boat.

They recommend giving yourself an hour, to an hour and a half to make the journey, so I bumped our breakfast to 10:15am.
I also have a small surprise I want to share with you all. I was going to wait until my Epcot day update, but I just can't wait.

A while ago, Katie (Bippity Boo) had an update on her PTR showing a carriage cage pendant, perfect for holding a pick-a-pearl. I admired it (and the cost!) but didn't pursue it because I'd never bought anything off of eBay before (shocking, I know) and didn't have any accounts or anything set up. I kept thinking about it and then just decided to do it. I set up the account and bought them!

You slide a chain thru the top to close them.
The part you have to keep secret though

, is that I bought three of them. One for myself, one for Ariana, and one for Kathryn. I'm not going to reveal the surprise until after we've done the pick-a-pearls. I think it will be a lovely gift for her, don't you think? Thanks Katie!!
Lastly, I don't think I've ever officially answered the ABC's of Disney multiple choice questions I've been including in my updates.
