DISNEY DREAMING! A Nov/Dec 2010 PTR *12/9 ~ Hello Again!

We saw Toy Story 3 today :cool1::banana::thumbsup2 It was GREAT!!!
The boys LOVED it too.
Jack didn't make a peep once I put his noise reducing headphones on and he got comfy in the seat.
Don't know if my kids got the whole story part of it, but they were just excited to see Woody and Buzz on the big screen. :)

That's fabulous! I'm so glad they enjoyed it and Jack was able to settle in!

It'd be interesting to compare the two, but I'd stick with the for sure if there's any question. Wouldn't I have to be a UK resident to go thru that site? I should try!

Oh that's crappy you have to wait... we're definately going today. I've heard fabulous reviews and we're all very excited!

Not sure if you can, but its worth a try one day :thumbsup2

I have heard that TS3 has had great reviews, so excited to see this next month :teeth: Hope you guys enjoyed it :)

I'm back from vacation and catching up now! I love the shirts! I had gotten 2 from the Disney Store back in the fall and they ended up being too big and I never returned them so they are sitting in my closet now collecting dust. I'll probably end up donating them to Good Will or a local church.

Sorry about the flight issue :( I didn't know one ways on SW could ever go as low as $35 one way?! My flight home from FL in Aug is 99 on Airtran (a SW sponsered airport is further away) and I thought that was a great deal! I need to do better research I guess!

You will love it! Pixar sure knows what they're doing.

Can't wait to see the show.....Monday or Tuesday for me.

I've been popping into your TR but didn't read if you've seen it yet.... have you gone yet?

Oh what a shame about the Disney shirts... can you wear them as jammies instead? Or will they take them back as store credit?

I wish SW went as low as $35, that would be incredible! ... actually what I meant was I paid $35 more per ticket than I was expecting to pay. Our six tickets, round trip was $1700. It's not looking promising so far for that credit.... I checked again yesterday and they were up to $2200 :scared1::eek: !!

So apparantly there was a 5.5 earthquake here yesterday at 1:30pm. I was at work and my email sent box shows I sent messages at 1:28pm and 1:33pm so I was in my office at the time..... but I didn't feel anything. :confused3

Shortly after that time I left the office to go to Demetri's end of year school party and I don't remember seeing anyone 'reacting' to the quake until I was closer to home and saw a school filing the kids back in. I remember thinking at the time they must've had a drill of some sort. It wasn't until then I heard on my car radio about the earthquake and when I got to Demetri's school, they'd had no idea anything had happened. So bizarre!

George was here at home and definately felt it. He was putting groceries in the fridge when he said the entire house started shaking around him. He freaked out thinking the work we've been doing in the basement digging it out caused structural instability and the house was coming down. :scared1:

Did anyone else feel it? What were you doing at the time?

Woah, I'm glad that it wasn't too bad for you guys :goodvibes

Was anywhere else badly affected?

Yikes, an earthquake!!! That's crazy!

Isn't it?! I read in this morning's paper it was actually at 1:41pm and lasted 30 seconds.

Woah, I'm glad that it wasn't too bad for you guys :goodvibes

I may owe my kids a mental apology. Getting ready for bed last night I noticed a pile of magazines from a desk had been strewn around the bedroom floor and a few other minor things out of place. My reaction was, "What the..... ?! Those kids!" :rotfl: Didn't think until the next morning it probably wasn't them.

This is courtesy of CBC News: "The temblor hit at 1:41 p.m. ET south of Echo Lake, Que., 60 kilometres north of Ottawa near the Ontario border, and was felt across southern and eastern Ontario and western Quebec, as well as in some U.S. states, including Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Vermont, New Jersey and New York."

We were too far away to cause serious damage. Our house shook so because its an 1800 farmhouse. Anything higher than the 5.0 it measured and we would have been in big trouble.

I didn't feel it either but plenty of my friends did... weird eh? Then there was a tornado in the Midland area too

I was just reading about the Midland tornado. Geez! :sad1: Two major weather events within hours of one another.... sounds like a movie plot.

That is really scary! Glad everything is okay with you though. :goodvibes

George can laugh about it now, but I can't believe he actually ran into the basement thinking the house was collapsing around him. It was his instinct to rush toward what he thought was the problem with the foundation. Like he was going to be Hercules or something and prop up the house.

Glad everyone's okay! I was at work, apparently you could feel it in New England, but I don't remember anything crazy. I tend to bounce around while at work in my chair, so I didn't notice anything.

And I loved Toy Story 3! Lou and I both cried. :rotfl:

Me? I would have been RUSHING out of that house. :rotfl:

Have you ever seen Under the Tuscan Sun with Diane Lane? That is what I was thinking of when they are remodeling her house and it just starts rumbling and stuff starts falling. :lmao:

LOL... I can totally see you bouncing around in your chair. :rotfl:

Just like the montage at the beginning of UP, I was crying like a baby. When I was in the theatre I thought I was the only one.

I haven't! I'm just glad I wasn't at home when it happened. I would have been freaking out.... and yelling at George to get out of the basement! :rotfl2:

I'm glad George and your house are ok! But I had to lol when you said George thought the house was falling down because of the work in the basement, and then ran towards it:scared1: I would have run out of the house screaming!

Poor George!!:sad2: He must have been freaking out to run down to the basement!!! DH and I were in the kitchen talking when we felt it and the boys were in the family room. They were freaking out themselves wondering what was going on. It wasn't a few minutes later and my brother called and asked if we felt something...that he thought it was an earthquake. He was sleeping at the time and his bed moved and windows rattled. It was definitely a crazy afternoon!!:rolleyes1

Me too! I seriously don't know what he thought he was going to do.

Oh he was totally freaking out. I'm just so glad it wasn't more serious. My co-worker had a suggestion for calming your kids down if they're freaked it's going to happen again. Just tell them it won't happen maybe again until they're 20-something when they're REALLY OLD so they don't have to worry about it. :rotfl:

Like I said on facebook, I thought of you when I heard about it on the news! YIKES!!!

We had a few in NJ when I was a kid, I only ever felt 1. When I was a teenager and I was in my room, the stuff on the shelf started to shake and as soon as it started it stopped again!

I want to know what is with SW fare lately?! That's crazy!! The fares for Oct went up a lot right after I bought the tickets but have gone back down. The fares from Dec were a lot more then I thought they'd be! :confused3

They said that around 5'ish PM here in Cincinnati people felt it. I live about 20 mins north of the city and I didn't feel anything. At that time, I was inside my school watching--Toy Story 2 with my kiddos and none of mentioned shaking so I guess it was hit and miss around here!
