1. Why is DCL so expensive?
2. Why does DCL cost more than XZY Cruise Line?
3. Which cruise line is better...DCL or XYZ?
4. How does DCL compare with XYZ, ABC, JKL, or Yabba Dabba Doo
Cruise Line?
5. Since I've cruised DCL before, doesn't that make me a member of an
select, ultra-elite, I'm more special than you club which entitles me to all
sorts of exotic freebies you can't get or don't deserve to get?

Haven't these been beat to death...a ga-zillion-million times?

SEARCH is your friend. You are allowed to use it...really. ::yes::

I feel much better now. :tiptoe:

I hope this does not get me points...

Thats good then, just dont post.....easy.

On another board that I am on (different topic), we've got a General Questions thread where people ask stuff. There are two warnings right at the top:

1. Please do not immediately ask questions if you have not searched the forum for answers that may already have been posted.

2. NO NECROPOSTING. This is replying to a 'dead thread'-that is, one that has been inactive for more than a month.

I wish people would have some common sense too. :thumbsup2

I must admit...one thing I've always liked about any of the Dis boards is the fact that it is very "active"

Agree 100% !!! I am a member of several other "lame" forums (not Disney related) and it is awesome to see how many new posts there are on the Dis Boards each and every day. Even if the questions are a bit redundant, it is interesting to read the responses.

Sorry...I do have one question. I searched everywhere, but I can't find an answer anywhere. I'm still pretty new to this, so please forgive me, but...can anyone tell me how I can go about getting a reservation on the Yabba Dabba Doo cruise line? :rotfl:

That made me literally LOL.

One of my favorites is "Will I like or Will my kids like......"

How am I suppose to know what you like? :confused3

Myself, I'm a fan of the "Can someone tell me where I should send a complaint about a very very bad thing that happened that I cannot tell you about, thereby making many people ask me about the secret very very bad thing" posts. :lmao:

necroposting.
:lmao:
That's the first time I've heard about that! (I actually think that's useful at times on a board like this. Maybe not on boards that are just conversation but on informative boards like this- why start a new thread if you've found one relating to the topic but you have another question or comment/answer to add? then the whole thread is bumped up to be read again instead of starting a new thread, where then new people would come along and ask other questions which might be answered on the "dead" thread had you bumped it? yanno? LOL

I must admit...one thing I've always liked about any of the Dis boards is the fact that it is very "active"...and things do get asked again and again...

but as someone mentioned, it's Monday...a rainy Monday at that...so when I read another "why is DCL so expensive" title, I lost it...

I actually prefer the forgiving nature of these boards compared to others I've been on...where if you asked a question that had been asked before, you'd be verbally ambushed by the "keeper of the boards"...apparently someone who had nothing to do but memorize every post ever made on the board, so when the question was asked again, he could POUNCE and show them the error of their ways. If he was feeling generous, he would actually search for you, then link to the post, along with derogatory statements about how stupid you are for not using the search function.

 that's it...let it all out...now don't you feel better...

LOL!!!!!!!!!
I know boards like that. Exactly like you described. hahahaha
(and I'm glad this board isn't one of them)

How ironic, someone who'd "Rather be watching the Andy Griffith Show", a show that has been in REPEATS for 50 years is concerned about repeat questions about a cruise line that has been around 12 years. :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2::cool1::yay::dance3:

Can we wear shorts in the dining room?
Hehehe!;)
I think I read that one every day.

No one is asking you to respond and I thank those that do answer our dumb questions even if they are asked a trillion zillion times.

I don't mind answering the questions over and over....
I remember what it was like cruising for the first time and having so many questions.

With only 31 posts, I think it's kind of hard to understand the joke.
It is just a Monday joke.
No offense.

...bites tongue and refuses to make snide comment about someone who does not recognize post made in jest..."

I LIKE irony...;)

I'd like to take a DCL cruise with only Andy Griffith fans.

As someone that has only been on the DCL cruise forum for 10 months, I still learn something from reading threads that seem repetitive. I will say that I have learned an immense amount of information and am armed with far more info than I had before my previous non DCL cruises.

Bottom line, patience is critical, and there is always newbies that know virtually nothing about DCL or even cruising. Maybe referring people to FAQ's etc. may help, but never forget most of the people on here were "newbies" at one time.

I'm a fairly "newbie" to these boards, but one of my "favorites" to see is the "Sell me on a cruise" and then they list every reason NOT to cruise! :rotfl2: Please....that's what the travel agent gets paid to do!! :rotfl:

Oh, yes everyone, it is Monday and what a Monday it has been! ;) It's been almost a year since my last Disney cruise and I am way overdue!!! DCL - take me away!!!! :dance3:
