Disney Dream - things are different

I was counting on that aspart of my costume. I hope they have them on the 5-night.

We were on the 2/27 4 night Dream cruise. We were each left a bandana for Pirate Night.

When we were at the Royal Palace, we did see some of the princesses, but they weren't anywhere near our table. Didn't see any other characters at the other restaurants, though.

All in all, it was a great cruise and we can't wait to book our 2nd! My DH, who was not looking forward to it, can't wait to go again! :)

The pirate bandanas were left in our stateroom rather than getting them on our table.

I was told by our server that there will not be any formalized parades/shows by the characters or the servers (no more baked Alaska) because there are some diners that would not be able to see anything. Our table in Royal Palace was actually in a small room tucked in the corner. There were 4 tables in there, would be a great area for a large group traveling together, but we could not see anything that was happening in the main dining room.

I never waited longer than 10 minutes for the aquaduck. The best time to ride was during the dinner hours. We had late dinner so we would ride 4 or 5 times, then go shower and get ready for dinner.

Well - I guess we just timed the Aquaduck wrong! We were on the dream for 3/31 - and several times wanted to ride the Aquaduck - but the line was all the way back to the waves bar. We went back to the ship early from Castaway Cay (roughly 2:00) - we waited 1 hr and 35 mins for a ride on the Aquaduck. I truly don't know when we could have gone that the line would have been shorter - I guess if we had stayed onboard during CC and waited until 11:30 when it opened it might have been shorter - I also heard that during the first dinner seating there was very little wait time.

OP, you mention that the water slide is near Cookies Too. Just wondering, are you referring to the old beach house, kind of a kids play area, (think its called Pelican Plunge?).
Trying to figure out a meeting place for our family group of 10. If I knew that the "water slide" is indeed Pelican Plunge then Cookies Too could be our meeting place for our Castaway Cay days.

Also, does anyone know if the Wave phones work on CC?

Thanks,

Karen

Yes, the phones work on CC. And Pelican Plunge is near Cookies Too. The Head's Up Bar is actually the closest place to Pelican Plunge. Our kids got some awesome whip cream drinks from the bartenders there!

I was on that cruise. Rode twice. First time the wait was about 20 minutes - that was mid afternoon on the first day. Second time the wait was about 15 minutes at about 1pm on Castaway Cay day.

The family beaches did seem more crowded than with the Magic/Wonder, but Serenity Bay was remarkably empty, and a great place to grab an even better meal.
.

That's good to know since I plan on spending most (pretty much all) of my time on Serenity Bay!! :thumbsup2
