Do you know when the list will be done? Working on fe gifts and need to make sure I order the right number

I've never participated in fe program. This may be a dumb question but how do you pack the gifts? Is there a size of gift minimum? Like are all gifts pretty small in size? And it's a gift everyday for everyone right? Or a few times a day? And is there a theme to the gifts? If so do you tell us the theme or do we personally set one for our particular gifts we distribute? I have lots of gifts in mind but I want to be on the right track, not off in left field. Then as far as the extenders themselves, I have googled them and some have a pocket for everyone attending the cruise and some have just kids or mom and dad together. We exchange for adults as well, correct? Sorry about all the questions. You will learn I am the question asker.

I have three rooms that are on the FE list that have not posted anything since they requested to be on the list. None of them have enough posts for me to send them a PM - therefore, they do not have a copy of the list, either.

There's a chance that they are no longer going on the cruise. I'll give them until the end of the month, then we will remove them..... Does anyone have an objection to this?

We will be back down to 11 cabins if those are removed. I would like to try and keep the list open a little longer, at least until the final payments are made. Any thoughts?

As far as size goes... depends on if you are flying or driving. I try to keep my gifts small enough to fit in a tote bag, as I keep them as a carry-on if I'm flying. I would hate to lose those in baggage issues. I also keep my FE wall pocket holder in my carry-on. Clothes are replaceable, FE stuff is not.

Also... a tip for everyone... Bring zip-ties to secure your FE wall pocket holder to the extender knob, but bring a sewing kit with scissors or nail cutters that can remove the zip-ties. I have even given a mini sewing kit as a gift before, though I won't be this time. If your cabin is in a high traffic area, there's a chance that your gifts, door magnets, or FE holder may be taken. I use wall static cling decals to decorate, as they aren't easy to steal and they are removable. Nothing can be put on the doors that can damage the doors.

My daughter has sooo much fun delivering gifts, that we like to deliver something twice. The time and frequency is of your choosing. There's a detective game that the kids can play that takes them through the ship, so we deliver gifts while playing.

There isn't any set amount or quantity.... Both are left to the discretion of the giver. However, please keep in mind that if you are flying, you may want to keep gifts small and lightweight. For ideas, search the Internet for Disney Cruise FE gift ideas. Traditionally, a gift is given to each child, and typically something for the adults. Gifts can be delivered at any time during the cruise.

A list will be started, with the first 20 cabins designated as Group 1. Once Group 1 is full, a new group will be started. The cutoff to signing up will be one month prior to sailing to give everyone a chance to join, and participants time to know how many gifts to make. If the final group is less than 20, then the groups might be adjusted some. If anyone would like to exchange gifts separately with a cabin that is not in your group, please arrange that among yourselves.

FE is short for "Fish Extender". Outside each cabin/stateroom door, there is a metal hook in the shape of either a fish or a seahorse, depending on the side of the ship. Disney uses the hook to hang cruise information for the cabin/stateroom's guests.

At some point, cruisers began hanging custom wall pocket/organizers (FEs) from the hook, "extending" the hooks capacity to accommodate the gifts exchanged with other cruisers. Disney allows the tradition as long as the FEs fit within the space, do not interfere with Disney's use of the hook, and do not stick out into the hallway.

You can make your own FE, or purchased one from crafters on websites like Ebay and Etsy. As far as the measurement restrictions go, I have found a range of sizes specified; however, I have found that if you have an FE that is no wider than 9.5" ( including the dowel rod), and no longer than 4 feet, you should be good. Most are made with a separate pocket for each person in the cabin/stateroom. (Make sure pockets can open wide enough to accept gifts. Multiple pockets allow for multiple gifts to fit, or for gifts to be placed in a pocket for the intended receiver.)

There have been cases of door decorations, FEs and even gifts being stolen. I use zip ties to secure my FE to the hook, and have zip tied my gifts to the other FEs if they are likely to be stolen. Just make sure you bring nail clippers to cut through the zip ties.
