Hi Tami,
I just sent you an e-mail with our e-mail address. Thanks so much for doing this!!

Has anyone had problems getting to the Disney CruiseLine website? I've been unable to login, the page looks like its undergoing some sort of change, and clicking the login never produces a login screen.....:confused3

Okay everyone...I've been trying to research what areas of the ship would be available on embarkation day for a Meet & Greet. It looks like the District Lounge, the 687 Lounge, and the Bon Voyage lounge are all possibilities and open on embarkation day. As an FYI, the District Lounge is an adults-only area at night, but it's open to guests of all ages during the day. After looking at the deck plan map I think The District Lounge should work for us, and as a bonus it is indoors in case we have bad weather.

Day: Embarkation Day~ September 25, 2011
Where: District Lounge located on deck 4 aft in the District area
When: 3:00-3:30 (ish). I believe the mandatory safety drill is at 4:00 which is why I chose 3:00 o'clock.
Why: To meet everyone involved in the FE or anyone else who wants to be involved in the meet. This will also give us a chance to update our group sheets with any necessary changes for the FE. I'll bring extra copies of the sheets in case you leave yours at home.

*If you can't make it to the Meet & Greet I'll drop off updated FE group sheets to the stateroom number I have listed for you. Hopefully you'll have your fish extender hanging so I know I've found the right room :)
I'll try to have the inforamtion delivered to you the first night, but with early dining and a late show time for my family, it might be morning before I get to your stateroom. You can also leave a message at my stateroom which is #2522.

Has anyone done the walk / kayak tour on Castaway Cay? We were thinking of possibly giving it a try...

Also, our daughter Raquel (13) is going on the Teen- Wild Side, any other teens from this group planning on doing this? Our son did it a few years ago and he really liked it.

Found out our Palo res weren't filled, :sad2: oh well

We have never cruised with Disney so we aren't aware of all the exciting things that go on. I have not booked anything and probably won't since we are unsure of all the options. I figure we could always try for something once we learn more. I have a 15 yr old DD that will try just about anything and loves to just go and do her own thing. LOL Our son is 8 and I am not sure how far he will travel from us. Or should I say not sure how well momma will let him out of my sight. I just worry about him with his medical issues but want him to fully enjoy/explore all that he can.

CC is our day to do nothing. :) We must be the non excursion family! :rotfl2: We just love to hang out on the beach all day, build sandcastles, the kids eat too much ice cream.

It's rare that we ever do excursions, but my son Kyler (13) is doing the Teen Wild Side at Castaway Cay. He's very independent and can't wait to explore on his own. I'm so excited to spend time relaxing and exploring the ship that I don't plan to do anything in Nassau, and we just love to relax while we're at Castaway Cay.

Normally we look for our own excursions due to the age restrictions and the Disney prices are usually much higher but this is a short cruise. We did Nassau on our first 3nt cruise and did the Comfort Inn / Atlantis thing so been there done that. Hoping everyone gets off so we have the Aqua Duck to ourselves :thumbsup2 yeah right!

The last cruise we went on we had excursions on all the ports, some beach/resort outing in Cozumel, Stingray City in Grand Cayman and the parasailing with my daughter in Castaway Cay but the weather was so bad everything was cancelled. We even ended up going to Key West instead of Grand Cayman because the ship couldn't tender. :sad2:

Since our older daughter is doing the Wild Side, our younger one will go to the Dig for half the day, and was looking to try something new for the wife and I. Then we'll all get together for lunch and enjoy the rest of the day... at least that was the plan.

Sounds good to me. CC is also our lazy day. Crazy to think we live 10 minutes from the beach and never have time to go. We ordered sand pail baskets from The Perfect Gift. That way my 2 dd's have fun stuff to play with at the beach. Only a month and a half left to go. YEAH!!!!

Anyone planning a post-cruise trip to DisneyWorld?

Received this promo from one of the places where you can rent DVC points to make resort reservations. We rented points from a member here on the Disboards but this guy seems to have a great service.

We're planning a few days @ DW and also Universal to see the Harry Potter park. Has anyone been there? Any tips, recommendations?

thanks!

we will be at Old Key West (DVC) on Thurs and Friday night. Friday night is MNSHHP. We are on the waitlist for Animal Kingdom and Bay Lake Towers.

We're staying at POR for a few nights after the cruise, but still undecided about MNSSHP. In the past we've always hit the party on a Tuesday evening which was perfect with very light crowds. This year the only parties scheduled while we're there are on Fri. and Sun. With the start of the Food & Wine Festival along with the marathon and the 40th anniversary of WDW falling on Oct. 1st I'm wondering if the party will be more packed than I like.
Hmmm...to spend the money or save the money is the great debate in my head (I have a feeling the party will ultimately win )

We've never cruised before so we have decided to stay on the ship when we are in Nassau. We plan to hit the pool early, then enjoy our couples massage!:yay: We may get off in the early afternoon to explore the port area only, but we don't really have any excursions booked. For CC we have the bikes and I have rented some snorkel gear. I think we just want to relax and take it all in. If we like the cruise we may try to book a 7 night for Feb. 2012. We may even book while onboard. If we do a 7 night I think we will do some excursions.

Also still hoping to book a Palo brunch after boarding...

Even though we are not doing FE, we might try to drop by to meet everyone. We didn't do the FE since this is our first cruise.

Hi We would like to join the fish extender on the dream
Anna 5
Sophia 5
Alena 3

What do we need to do?

Welcome Angela (both to our cruise board and to the Dis-boards)!! We actually closed the sign-up for the FE on August 1st, but I sent you a PM to give you some additional information about it & see if anything can be worked out. Talk to you soon.
Tami

HI. We are also going to be on the cruise. We are
myself = DW Heather
DH Rob and
DS and DD Robbie and Madison both age 10 years old.

It has been about 3 years since our last Disney Cruise, and I skipped to the last post, so I will have to back track and read up about FE's.

We are looking forward to meeting you all.

Heather

Heather~ Have you got my PM's. I still need your e-mail address to send you the FE info. :woohoo:

question, for those of you that have 13 yr olds, are you planning on keeping them in the 11-13 group or allowing them to go to the 14-17 group???

My understanding is that 13 yo's have the option to go into either group but I believe there is no check in/out for the older group....thoughts, concerns?

tks!
