Disney Dream- September 25th 4-Night Bahamian Cruise!

omg....I am so confused. We are going on the cruise but have no info on it but our catagory, room number. Our son is getting a wish trip so they have taken care of everything for us. I know we will get from WDW to the port by Disney, but I see people posting about booking for b'fast. I thought on cruises you just go to the buffet and have b'fast. Do we have to make reservations?

As for excursions, can you make them on the ship? I have no idea what to do seeing its our first cruise with DCL. I don't think we will do the Pirate night as I might surprise the kids with MNSSHP while in Disney and I know my son will want his Woody costume for that and I dont want to bring to many costumes. What excursions do you recommend? Kids would like to do the swim with the dolphins but Zach the wish kid isn't big enough/weigh enough so I can't let DD do it if he can't.

You do not have to make any meal reservations. There are plenty of free meals available on the ship. There are a couple of restaurants that require reservations and charge a fee.

You can make reservations on the ship, or you can log in once your balance is paid in full and make them online. In Nassau, we have just walked around the area just off of the ship and we have also done the aquarium in Atlantis. You could also just stay on the ship and enjoy the pool. Castaway Cay also offers excursions. They also offer bike rentals and floats.

An easy pirate costume is black bottoms, a white top and a sash around the waist. We last cruised in January of 2010 and they did not give away bandanas on that cruise. Maybe they will again on the Dream. The pirate party is one of the best things about the cruise, with fireworks to follow. You definitely do not want to miss it!!

Tami: are you going to email everyone their FE list?

I have an easy spreadsheet I can send you if you would like.

and yes they do still give pirate bandanas at dinner. (they did on our Dec cruise.).

I am still trying to convince dh to wear Pittsburgh Pirates tshirts! :rotfl2: since they are finally doing well!! but I am not sure he will go for it!!

I'm planning to e-mail everyone in early August (hopefully the 1st week after I get back from a wedding). I'd love for you to e-mail me the spreadsheet and I'll see if I can figure it out. I don't have excel on this computer, and the office program I have installed is a really strange format. I started making my own instead :rotfl:

THANKS!!

I just thought of one other thing for the FE list. If anyone has allergies let me know and I can include that on our list. We'll keep everyone healthy and happy that way ;)

I will try to copy and paste it.

This is the excursion we ared oing in Nassua. It is called the Blue Lagoon Island Dolphin Encounter. Children as young as 3 years old can participate with an adult. You get in the water with the dolphins. Hope it helps.

HI. We are also going to be on the cruise. We are
myself = DW Heather
DH Rob and
DS and DD Robbie and Madison both age 10 years old.

It has been about 3 years since our last Disney Cruise, and I skipped to the last post, so I will have to back track and read up about FE's.

We are looking forward to meeting you all.

Heather

I forgot to ask about the excursions. Is anyone else doing Atlantis in Nassau? On our previous cruises I have always booked a night at Atlantis so we could use the water park, but this time we are trying Comfort Inn to get the passes. Keeping my figers crossed that this will work out ok.

Hi everyone. We are Mike and Jodie. We booked this cruise ages ago, but are just getting around to posting now. :hippie:

Listen, I don't know if this could work, but ... Mike and I booked a non-refundable rate at the Radisson at the port the night before the cruise (check in 9/24, check out 9/25). We decided to book a room at the Hyatt Regency right at MCO instead. I would hate to see the room at the Radisson go to waste. I am sure that most DISers are OCD like me and have booked their pre-cruise hotel well in advance, but I figured I would throw it out there to see if anyone wanted the room. To be clear, the room would be our treat (provided the hotel let's me swing a name change or something). I would just call and beg the hotel that I screwed up and meant to book for a friend or something (if anyone has any better ideas, lmk). And bonus, I booked before their shuttle charge, so if you booked a shuttle from the hotel to the port, it should be free. Like I said, I don't know if it would work, but I'm willing to try to work something out with the hotel if anyone could use a free room pre-cruise. :flower3:

WOW~That's an amazing offer! If the room had 2 beds I would have taken it with a huge smile & a very grateful heart, but where it's only booked for 2 adults I'm probably out of luck. I'm sure you'll make somebody else's day though!! I'm going to sit here and continue being amazed at how generous you are! What a great way to start off my day

:welcome: Heather, Rob, Robbie and Madison!!

We are not doing the FE, but are looking forward to meeting everyone! We are super excited for our first ever cruise. Of course we had to do it with Disney! Just curious, any other couples going out there?

Yes, you are right, we do have a room with a King bed.

You are very sweet for thinking us generous. I am not sure it's more that I hate being wasteful!

Could you take the room and maybe get a roll away bed to go with it? It is a awesome awful by some wonderful people out there.

We are staying at WDW before the cruise so it wouldn't work for us either.

My son will be the little boy being told to stop running (because of Dr's orders). He will have a shoe lift on his Left shoe and a limp with his walk. He has glasses too. He is getting so excited to go and can't wait to meet all the other boys and girls.
