Disney Dream- September 25th 4-Night Bahamian Cruise!

Welcome!!

The FE is like a secret santa. You buy a gift/gifts for the cabins participating. (can be individual gifts or a group type gift.) You hang your FE off the "fish" outside of your cabin. You deliver the gifts when you want to. It is fun to wake up the next morning to little treats etc, or when you return from dinner etc. When I was in charge of our group last year we had 25 cabins, in 08, we had 60 cabins. (some groups can be divided up into smaller groups.)

Thank you very much! I will have to think about it & scope out some ideas this weekend. This sounds like alot of fun & DD would love it!

I think the FE will be exciting. I'm starting to come up with ideas for our little gift exchange, and getting ready to start putting our goodies together. Just in case anyone's wondering, I am planning to split the group up into more manageable sizes when the August 1st deadline hits. Some people have expressed interest in getting little gifts for everyone on the FE list which is great , but for everyone else I'll organized the group into smaller "sub-groups". Hopefully that will allow us to all experience a little extra layer of magic and fun without overwhelming anyone.

well our cruise planned changed today. We were hoping the MNSSHP party would be Sat night again like last year... nope .. it is Friday nite, like 2 years ago. So we are now staying for 2 days afterwards... didnt want to pull the kids out for 5 days, but oh well.... We now have reservations at Old Key West. (excited since we have never stayed there before.).

have to cancel our night before the cruise at Bay Lake and just now stay out by the port.

Apparently I'm starting to loose brain cells and e-mails . I know someone e-mailed me a few months ago about helping organize a Meet and Greet for our cruise, but I can't find the information now. I've never participated in a Meet and Greet or an FE exchange, so if there's someone out there with a bit more expertise on the subject I'd love to have your help organizing the Meet and Greet.

Does anyone have any other cruise dates booked? We are seriously looking at moving this one. We are probably paying for a wedding in 2012, and that means we need to use this money for that.

My friend was just on the Dream and said the boat is beautiful!!

I plan to do the brunch. Tired of the evening menu. Kids may do Remy.

I live in Florida but my Mom lives in Houston, so I'm actually excited about a possibly repo cruise from NYC to Galveston! I'd get to see the city for a few days, then head out to visit Texas for a while. Talk about a culture shock!

I was really hoping for more Hawaii cruises instead of one long cruise over and back but there's always the next year I guess. Anyone interested in the NYC to Bahamas cruise? For me it isn't practical but was wondering if others would enjoy the itinerary.

I think my pirate group bought out the new cruises as well as pretty much booking the June 23rd Fantasy.

So there is a MNSSHP on the Saturday before the cruise sets sail? Originally my wife and I were going to go to DW twice this year. Once in May and once in September, specifically to see the place done up for Halloween. We had booked it and even had free dining. Then we saw the Dream and have always wanted to do a Disney Cruise Line cruise, so we changed our plans. My wife really want to expirence MNSSHP. She LOVED MVMCP and we've heard from a lot of people that MNSSHP is even better.

We are staying at the Hyatt in Orlando airport the night before the cruise. I'm wondering if it would be worth it to take a cab over to catch the party the night before, then cab it back to the hotel. Wonder how the timing would work since we plan to be up early on cruise day to check in at the airport.

Suggestions??

BTW, my wife just got her passport, so we are all set to go on our cruise now!

I have a passport and so does Kerry but my DS does not. They just visited Nassau on a NCL and he did not need it. Are there any changes?

Wow this thread really gained momentum. I will be recycling the FE from our PC cruise . Need to get back up to speed on this one. I originally was traveling solo. Then DS DGF wanted to do a Disney. She loves Disney. So they came along. Had to change the room to a sleep 4. Bedtime will be interesting. This will be my 6th cruise. Just realized I have not put this in my signature.

the Meet n Greet can be super simple, just pick a time and place, (normally it is 3pm at a Lounge.) on our cruise in 08, we all had lanyards, and they were passed out at the port and the M n G.

I did the FE's for our past cruise. I just made up an excel sheet. and I organized it by deck and then port side/ starboard side. Made it really easy to deliver fes.

Even though we might not be staying on this one; welcome! There are great folks on here, and I'm sure you'll have a DREAMy time! Where in NC are you? I grew up in Winston-Salem, went to college in Raleigh, lived in Cary, had one of my children in Charlotte, back to Raleigh for the other one and lived most recently in the eastern part of the state before moving to GA.
